Here's my 72' buick skylark conv. GS 350. It suppose to be 1 of 10 triple black, out of 601, and 1 out of 100 that does not have air. As you can see its not black, we found it this past spring close to home. The car happen to be the exact same color as our 72' buick skylark. [ we laugh, but cool for now]. The car is rough and needs a complete restro. and put back to black. Jim Lore, great looking GS stage 1, I can only hope mine will look that good.
Jim, Beautiful car! If you get a chance, post more pictures. I'm following your pictures as I replace parts and repair mine. Thanks, Chris

Thought I had added our 69 to this thread ou: 462, thm400, 3.55 This one is my latest project. 1947 Diamond T model 509 on a '79 Dodge Powerwagon chassis.
Just purchased a 72 Skylark Custom convertible and also a coupe at the same time this year. Vert was a 350 and coupe had a fresh 455 w/turbo 400, poston cam, headers, oil pump mods. The guy I got them from took the Vert and installed the 455 combo from the coupe into it.Thats how I got them, motor in and front clip off the vert and coupe without engine or trans. Coupe is bad paint, rusty frame donor till the vert is done, then i'l sell it with a replacement frame I got with the deal. Vert is yellow/brown int air car. Lots of small stuff missing and without the help of members of this board, I wouldn't be able to continue at any sort of pace. Many Thanks to everyone here. Larry
Well, I've changed my mind yet again about selling my Buick yet again!o No: I have another project that I want to fund and when I get excited I want to sell my Buick but then the second I look at her again I can't part with her. So here are some pics.......:beers2:
I'm in Mundelein, Illinois, which is 45-60 minutes north of Chicago. 1971 GS (clone) convertible, in the middle of swapping out the 350 for a fresh 455 with Stage 1 cam and TA Shorty headers. The car also has a full Air Ride air bag setup. Haven't made a decision on the trans yet, might see how long the TH350 lasts behind the 455. I bought this car about a year after I graduated from college (can't believe it has already been 9 years!) and have had a great time both working on it and driving it. I warned my wife when we got married that she would have to take both os (me and the car) because I heard a lot of people sell their toys once married and I wasn't doing it. It worked out OK; we drove it home after the wedding! As a Michigan State fan and alumni, the car is green with a white interior and top.
1972 ragtop. slowly becoming a car again. car came from upstate NY and had a lot of rust. just put 455 in it and now waiting for driveshaft to come back from shop. will post pic soon. i live in charlotte nc.
