Went on a cruise with my daughter for the first time in 6 weeks. She smiled, I smiled. Messed with timing afterwards, set to 8° now. Not a peppy as before and feels like it surging at speeds above 30 when I "get on it." More work to do but no fluid leaking.
John. I had these cable crimps left over from another project and were just under a 1/4 longer than what JW had used. Still had clearance in the pan. Should be all I need
I took a 30 mile cruise with my daughter tonight, who missed cruises as much as I the last 6 weeks. Which, dang it really waters my eyes up. Don't judge me
I am surprised at how much advance our cars need. Larry70GS don't judge us. We are merely mortal. This winter though? I am going all the way down that rabbit hole.
Actually it was Sunday; - cut out all the metal parts for the driver's side rear. We formed up all the required bits for the trunk floor and the outer quarter. The fender drop was in great shape still. Even got the buckets made up for the body mount that always rots out just behind the rear wheel tub. Now all I have to do is cut out the rusted crap and weld them in...shouldn't be a problem! ...wrong...I haven't welded anything in over 20 years, and the wire feeder I have is cheap scrap. Gonna have to go and look for a Mig welder...and then learn how to use it. I'll let you know how that disaster pans out.
Still working on the electric fan installation in the Buchev. I do a tiny bit every day, but the progress is slow as I have other, more important things going on right now. FWIW: The electric fans came with attaching straps that secure the fans directly to the radiator core. I already have a transmission cooler attached to the radiator core, so I'm not about to hang anything else off of it. I am fabricating Aluminum mounts that will replace the radiator shroud.
Dang Rich, I read too fast. I thought your last sentence said onto the Home brew assignment. I’ll be there for some beer. LMAO
Buddy helping me out figured out a new schematic to add hazards to my ‘59, which also has the added fun of only having 1 tail bulb per side. A couple of YT vids helped out.
