I probably could, but the two brackets that are now a bit short are steel, and I have enough scrap aluminum bits and pieces that I think I can make new ones that will look better.

What are you using for a gasket on the Q jet manifold?

I did make two spacers and modified the base of the kickdown cable bracket and all is well. I am waiting for a new carburetor base gasket, and am doing a bit of filing to the intake manifold where the AC Compressor rear bracket bolts. As was mentioned earlier, the TA manifold is just a hair taller then stock; If you are planning to run a factory AC system, you will have to do some work on either the AC bracket or the manifold. I have chosen to make the manifold fit the unmodified bracket

What and where did you order for a base gasket? Thanks.

I ordered it from Amazon, but it was shipped from a Holley distribution center. It was made by Mr Gasket and looks to be of good quality. What I like about it is that it is perforated so that you don't have to play silly games if you want to use it on an open manifold. The TA manifold is a dual-plane, so I will still have to play with the gasket a bit, but NBD.

Any updates on how these manifolds perform?
Also, has anyone polished one of these yet?
