How about naming it: DOOM As in when some one asks what's under the hood, that's what you respond with. After seeing all those pretty photos, I'm seriously thinking of selling my house, moving to Arizona, buying a 70 GS, and one of these blocks. Of course, I'd also have to live in said car for some time, but a guy's got to do what a guy's got to do.
Finally got a chance to sit down and edit a few pictures I snapped. Enjoy. If there's anything in particular you'd like to see, let me know and I'll grab a picture of it (closeups, different angles etc). Let me know what you think of these pictures (overall, the editing) because magazines will be wanting pictures :beers2: We're also adding the TA Logo thats on the SPX to the front of the block on the front cylinder and the Tomahawk logo to the front just above the timing cover (We decided to keep the Tomahawk name, check out the cover of the new catalog for the New version of the logo :kodak: ) Click Pictures for Larger Images (Really Big)
A work of art. Thanks for all of your effort and financial investment to bring this extraordinary block to market. Allen Mandeen
gebus christy. THAT'S VERY NICE! some people will really be able to light the tires up with this one.
Too nice to build, paint and hide under a hood. Need to put under glass and make a coffee table... WHAT A WORK OF ART!!!!! :beers2: :beers2: :beers2: Michael
NICE!!!!!:TU: :TU: Any guesses on how much faster the guys will be able to go with this block over a max effort original Buick block? Guys like Rod or Doug and others who lean on them pretty hard. I assume Rod can really get crazy with a super charged one if he wanted to. I bet lots of laughing gas would be fun also.:Brow: :Brow: I hope the way I worded this don't sound to retarded. I will never need or be able to afford one, but I can't wait till some of the heavy hitters get to play with this block and see what happens.
I have the perfect "stock appearing" - lightweight - 1970 GS ready to go for this Block!! Now, if I just had all the $$$$$ needed!! It may be another summer but this is the plan! Sub 3,200 lb 1970 GS + 700 Horse Stock Appearing Stage 1 Engine = ___________ E.T. Anyone good at math ???
running the calculator backwards, at 3200lbs i'm showing you'll be in the 8's if you can get it hooked: http://www.teambuick.com/forums/view.php?pg=hp_calculator 3200lbs at 8.95 secs is calculated to 654 engine hp and 523hp at the wheels.
