I really like that maroon '72 two posts up with those torq thrust wheels. Does anyone by chance know the wheel and tire sizes on that car?
Here's a cool Riv. I've been looking for more info on this one, I found this page a couple of nights ago: http://www.buick-riviera.com/fastbill.html -Gabe
Here's my 1977 saved from the crusher. Only needed an engine and a little body work on the LR corner.
When I was 22 My neighbor and good friend had a beautiful 71 riviera, which I fell in love with first sight, he let me drive it all summer. Here is a pic of it He had cars to spare cause he also had: 65 Riviera 66 toronado 63 vette (white one and red one) 71 Cuda 65 Mercedes I'll put up pics of his 66 toronado, and 65 riviera in another thread, there beautiful. Anyways he kept trying to get me to buy it, and I never had any money, so he sold it. I begged him to buy another one, and he found one on ebay in Pennsylvania. He bought it, had it shipped here, and Just last month I finally bought it from him.
Great thread. ALOT of nice Rivieras! :TU: :TU: Here's mine and my contribution to this awesome thread.
is that a smokey burnout in your 66? my 66 Riv GS won't do that on dry pavement. the tires have wider footprint than stock - 235/55 on 17x8 wheels, so a bit more grip. 425NH feels good, pulls pretty well above 3000 rpm. carb recently rebuilt to stock. pertronix ignition conversion.
Nice to see so many still around. Here is mine.. Sorry for the big pic, but now you can see how it was restored last year

Here's some shots of mine from when I got it back from body/paint/interior restoration efforts in Sacramento: I just finished waxing it last night, ready for the new year!
