Rob, Nice Riv's! Man ................ I forgot how big those 70's Riv's are. Look at how it fits in that parking spot!!!!! lol :Brow:
Lifted this rendering from another board... a styling exercise in Pro-Street... not a huge fan, (especially the scoop and the 454?) but I like to see the Riv gettin' some love....
Steve, I owned an almost identical '90 Riv that my 1st wife and myself bought in '94. I think the silver paint was just slightly darker than yours. I loved that car! I would routinely spend an entire Saturday to wax and polish it. When we divorced in '96, I got the house and she got the Riv., and she pretty much let it go to seed. When I last saw it a few years ago parked in my former brother in law's driveway, I about cried! :ball: Here are some pics of my '70 in it's current state. The first one is when I first bought it. I have been looking for pics of the '66 I owned. I think they are still at my Mom's. If I find them, I will have to scan and post them.
...Livin' 5 min from the AJZ... Dinotreffen? Right-s.th. rattles in my mind... Sure! Oh...Eric's also here...now I feel home... Good to know...probably you (as the ultimate Rivierist ) can help me with my tire- and exhaustproblems in the other thread... Here and Here
He got PN! But I think we're destroying the thread-so back 2topic! SHOW your Rivs! (especially the '67 ones with aftermarket wheels, please
I have been collecting alot of pictures of Riviera's over the last few years, and here are some of the better ones. None of them are mine. Enjoy, Randy
And here are some you may have never seen. These are pictures of a couple of T.V Tommy's cars from back in the early 60's....Can any of you "under 35" guys identify the good looking brunette standing next to Tommy in the 2nd photo?
Man, what an easy clue that was. I'm over 40 too. I was a Mouseketeer fan and also had a Dick Tracey decoder ring. Wish I still had it. The messages were just as on that Christmas Movie, Drink your Ovaltine, Obey your Parents, stuff like that.
Yes, you got it right! Our favorite "beach blanket bingo" girl, looking mighty fine indeed. She raised alot of heart rates back in the day.
Here's some pics of my "progress". Mechanicals are nearing completion. Gotta lot to do with paint touch up, minor rust repair and searchin' for better chrome... looks ok from a distance But, antique tags should be here tomorrow and on the road I go! :TU: (look at that tiny garage it was in while I did the motor!)
