I know this isn't cold compared to where most of you folks are at, but it's currently 28F here in the Tampa Bay area. That's pretty cold for us. Supposed to warm up to 43F this afternoon... I'd be willing to bet Waterboy is wearing long pants and shoes today, in the Palm Beach area.
Dang Rich, are you spying on me? How do you know I’m wearing long pants and a sweatshirt? I’m glad the weather people lied this time. They said it was going to get down to 42° and we only got down to 47°. It’s already a warm blistering 52°. It’s nice on the southeast side of my house where the sun is shining and there is no wind. If I go to the backyard it’s a different story
Weatherman was wrong! He said our low would be 9; we got down to 8!!. We’ve warned up to a balmy 10 now. I joined the Michigan Chapter several years ago; I’m happy with the newsletter and all the club comraderie, but y’all can keep this weather!! Patrick
11 degrees in Helena, Alabama this morning! That is a new record for us since we moved here in 2007. Also, the lake behind our house has frozen for only the second time since we moved here. I checked our three feral cats and they are fine in their styrofoam cat houses. They did come out for breakfast.
I figured if it was below 60 you may be a little cold down there, John! So far, it's up to 36 here... We actually turned the heat on last night
Up until today, it was around -33 C (-28 F), but today is warming up to +2 C (+36 F). Got to love those Chinooks.
Aftermath of last night's blizzard conditions. This is the main street in the town. Still a driving ban with high winds today. Currently at 6 deg.
Today is a totally different story here in SW Florida then yesterday. It never got above 52 degrees today, and tomorrow it's supposed to be a couple of degrees colder. For those of you who live near International Falls, I don't expect a pity party, but we don't have winter coats or really good heating systems. As a former New Englander I can deal with it, but for native South Floridians it's frigid.
