Been going to the nationals since 1997,...never drove a GS there,....drove my GN,..tried to drive my 70 GS in 2013,...didn't make it,...rear-end took a ****,...

So Instead if driving a well sorted dependable Buick,..or even my new truck

I'm gonna make the 1k mile journey in a 71 GS455 that hasnt been on the road since 1987,....total Roadkill style here's where I am as of yesterday,...makes perfect sense imo

That how we used to do it. Put it together, drive it there, run it, drive it home. I've driven more than one to BG (700 mi. ea. way) as the test drive. Also flown & trailered. Nothing beats driving a GS there.

I've tried more times than I can count but breakage or other reasons haven't permitted it

I hope that you don't have much other work, and have at least one good helper, because transforming that thing into a running car that your going to take on a trip, is a monumental task, no doubt.

I hope you don't like sleep, because your not going to get much in the next 3 weeks.

    Good luck..

The closest I came to that is when I drove my GS 340 miles round trip to Cecil, ran 11's, and drove it home 2 days later. I drove my GS to Ohio BPG meets multiple times, but didn't dare to race it. That will either be an awesome experience or multiple head aches. I am hoping for the former, Go Ethan.
