I bought a solid, except for front floor, 69 Wildcat ragtop body last year for $600. It was fresh from Arizona, and junked locally. The moral of the story.............there is ALWAYS another out there. Let these fools have their idiocy, we don't need em.:TU:

    Here's a pic of a 4 3/4 pattern 15x7. Dave's 4th to be exact.

Don't worry Dave, the face isn't anywhere near as rusty as the picture makes it look. It must have been picking up a reflection off something??? :Do No:

  6. No worries here Greg! I'm sure a little polishing and paint and it will look great. I don't need the center cap at all, I have the correct 68 ribbed style caps already.

The local wrecking yard in my town has close to a dozen rally wheels, some 5 and some 4 3/4, but I didn't measure them for width or height. What should I expect to pay for them from a junk yard if they don't have any rust?

  8. I've seen some guys comment they can get nice 15" 4.75 rims for $25. Seems a bit on the low end of typical though. 14" probably wouldn't be worth getting unless you need them yourself.

I wouldn't be surprised if they want $40-$50 each.

I've got my own policy when junking:

Never fail to mention that it is a "junk" yard. These parts are not new or NOS. There was something wrong with the car in the first place, otherwise it would not be in a junk yard. Therefore parts in a junk yard are "unworthy" or do not "command" the ludicrous price, that they quote.

Don't be afraid to tell them what the part is really worth.

There still are the knuckleheads that will not go down. They always leave me wondering why they are in business in the first place.

If anyone runs across (or has) a steering wheel like the one in that Wildcat, I'd love to hear from ya. Would like a decent one for a driver.

I was hoping for one in a little better condition than that. I may get back to you though if I can't find another.

Is that style specific to the Wildcat, or was it used in standard Skylarks/LeSabres/etc. ?

Why is it you have to go to hot climates to find cars with black interiors????
