Anyone out there planning on going to the Buick GS Nationals? I'll be there. I plan on going to as many Buick events as I can this year.
?? Carl, right now, I'm planning on it, for the 19th time! A few others from Michigan are going also, but many more will be going to Buick Race Day '04 at Norwalk, cause it's closer. Since alot of folks don't have or can't get vacation time to go to both anymore or they have other things to do during that week, or whatever, and of course the BPG in August has to be fit into their plans now too! RV
Loyd and I will be there. We run the Chicagoland Chapter booth and help provide judges for the car show. So we'll be busy, as usual. We, too, are trying to attend as many events as our schedule allows. We already have a conflict between the Las Vegas West Coast Nationals and the local Cordova B-O-P race. So many decisions.... p
As you mentioned it Roberta, it's also my 19th year attending(I haven't missed one yet!) Like I said before,I'll try to attend as many Buick events as my vacation time will allow.
I'm planning on going too. Only been once before in '99 at Columbus, had a ton of fun. We are working to get a few of us to caravan down. Really looking forward to it.
This is wierd. I just got through making my hotel reservations for BG. I then come to the board, and this is the first post I read. Must be a good sign. See you all there! Jeff
For sure I'll be going. Been saving up my Canadian money to transfer to American funds. This will be my fifth year in a row. Wouldn't miss this event for anything. The people, the cars, the good times are things that I will never forget. Some of my greatest memories have occured there. I think they should run the Super 16 program like they did last year. Nothing like lightning fast cars running under the lights in the cold air of the night. And since cars run their best with cold air, then it should be a no brainer to run it like that. I have learned one thing from last year, and that is to pay more attention, as I should have known who won the Super 16 classes. I should probably be walking around the pits more to get ideas for my own car. They have some pretty interesting things going on. I am also more interested in the GSE and GSP classes this year, after seeing pictures of cars like Gary Kubischs' pop big wheelies in the air and run mid to low 9's.
I am only about 70 miles away so I will be there again this year as well.Hope to have the "my lil ole lady car" car there as well.
I only get one dalliance this year and mine is the BPG meet in Ohio. All my rain gear gets a rest this year. I'll probably miss it like hell, but do look forward to the August event. I do hope the GS Nats are well attended and DRY FOR A CHANGE. Have fun people and have some beer and ribs at Smokey Bones for me.
BPG Nationals I'll be there!!! I guess we will having a little GS convoy from MD. A member that lived around the area said they would put me up and can't remember who it was, oh well I have time to set reservations. I just all ways have conserns on hotel parking over night you know swinging car doors and missing stuff (air-cleaners ect.) This sound a little over the top but I'm still concerned. If anyone in the area can put me up I'm a good pay and do not snore. AL.
I'll be there for my 22nd GS nationalsp All BPG members stop by the back side of the News Inn and say HI! Peace WildBill
:blast: Doug you better be there, as your Birthday is and has been for the last 2 years that week, and mine is on Saturday! We have to have a Blast! one day!:blast: :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer       :blast: :blast:   :bglasses: ou: ou: ou: ou:
