Well I just bought 410 gears, 2 inch headers, and a single plane intake from TA. I am going to be kicking all your arses next year. What's on your plate. Got a 350, better start stepping up your game and quit talking.

You would be kicking most sbb 350 people's "arses" without any of those upgrades if you could make time to go to the track.:TU: But nothing wrong with raising the bar!:Brow:

I wrote that to pump you up a little, but that is the plan. I talked to a well known 350 hot rodder last nite and this is the plan we came up with. Time to smack around some 455's Now stop reading this and go out and crack some wrenches!:Brow:

You still rolling that 65 Impala, That has to be a very fun to go cruising in. I always like a big boat that runs well. My dad helped a guy way back tune a 427 Impala with a 4 speed and we went for a small ride and man I will never forget that pull, I was only about 14 years old then.

We had a 64 Impala SS when I was a kid and that was a sweet ride, I like Impalas'.:3gears:

I know, I am trying to raise the bar I just like to have fun with everyone. I think I am going to get back to the track this year. Things are starting to turn around now with job so looking good so far.

I am really glad to hear you are getting the car back out! Was TA able to give you a timeline on when your intake will ship? I will have to call them tmrw...

I put the Impala to bed for the winter but yeah I still have and enjoy driving it weather permitting. Its like sitting on the living room couch when I drive that thing. Its a 2 door and 3 adults can comfortably sit in the back seat with 2 more passengers up front plus the driver.:eek2: And the trunk is like a short bed pickup truck its so frickin big I love it!:Brow:

Had to ditch the 283 couldn't even spin the tires on ice with that engine with a power glide behind it and a 3.36:1 rear gear. The 383 I built for it fried the power glide at Lapeer dragway, lost 1st gear and reverse but I still made it home in drive.:TU: I ditched the 3.36 10 bolt rear after I blew up the spider gears at Milan dragway with the 700R4. I installed a 3.07 12 bolt with an open carrier with the 1st gear of the 700 even with drag radials that one tire couldn't get traction even after I installed the posi unit the car is still traction limited(heavy car). Have to air down the rear tires to get it to hook but when it does its not to bad for a big heavy car in the very low 1.80s for the 60 ft times. It has aftermarket lower and upper rear control arms with the uppers adjustable. But yeah its a fun car best Q mile time to date is 13.26 @ 102 miles per hour.

I'm glad things are going good for you, I hope your new career is going well and helps you get back to the track more. Remember, work to live don't live to work.:beer

Step #1.. Buy slicks so I can hook and finally get a consistent base time to work with!
