What the heck you guys doing, waiting for TA to make you some parts before you decide to go racing your 350 Buick? Oh, I know if TA builds it you will come? Summers over baby, not one time slip from a Buick 350 racer. Who is going to come out in the spring A big fat "0" ?

TA is probably sitting here Looking and saying "NO one races a Buick 350, why should we build heads"? No one person even commented on TA Mike going a high 12 with his 350. I waited a month to see if any one would comment on it and I eventually said something on it.

Got a Pro Charged 350 out there where the heck is he at, got a 550 hp Buick 350 out there where is it? Turbos sold out there where are they? Potential cars out there that have been there for 3 + years now but nothing on them. But we have a 1000 hp Buick 350 giving us incentive, the stars that are not here anymore.

    Here comes the excuses.

Boo Hoo me all day long entertain me here.

My excuse, I was just about to buy some tires for the back and just found out my shop is closing down and I will be laid off, again.

We will see how fast this gets to page two on this site.

    gscalifornia Small blocks rule!!

Haven't had my 350 down the strip in many years, last time was probably at Rock Falls during one of their Musclecar events in about 2006.

Two daughters both playing sports and a lake home have been getting all the love the past eight years. I've also rebuilt a fiberglass runabout, a nice 14' aluminum fishing boat, and this past year the pontoon boat to keep me busy.

The youngest daughter is now a sophomore in college and the Buick is still here. If it doesn't rain tonight I'll be at the local "No name" Car Club Wednesday night cruise with it, I have to make sure to keep my longest burnout record from last years cruise at this location!

Still have hopes to go through it one more time, the engine leaks from the front and back, and the transmission leaves a puddle on the floor every storage season. Wipe it up and drive it has been the motto for the past couple years!

OK, I'll stir the pot some...

My opinion, fwiw, the guys that race want to go real fast. The only way to do that is to switch to a 455. What 350 guy is gonna race when they know they'll get beat by some snot nose w/a 455?

    He he.

I know of one pretty well built tree-fiddy that would've been happy to post slips, but he blew the tires off it first pass and got booted off the track for his new 2004r leaking the second. Talked about a pissed off dude, car hasn't hardly seen the light of day since....

As far as racing mine, it will a couple of years before its race worthy. Not gonna post any impressive numbers then, but as it is now, its a snail. But I have ambition. Gonna be working on engine and trans over winter. Will still need some gearing in the reared tho.

I feel for ya all, but I haves raced my 350 for the past 20 years now with a bunch of TA parts. Did it before that when it was a slow 15 second car. Bracket racing is still available at the track. No matter how fast it is.

I can beat a stock 455 straight out. and have beat the faster ones in bracket racing, put down a few of those grand nationals too.

I can run 12 sec on the nose at 110 mph with just a 75 shot of nitrous. That will beat some of those modified 455's.

I understand, 109* is too hot for anyone, no matter what motor is in the car. :af:

Only 75 shot of nitrous, 500 lift cam and ported heads, 12 seconds, what you all think you are going to run 10's with a 350?

whoops forgot gsjohnny1 is close, rock on. popcorn 25 cents ye ha.

Panty hose crowd, go get em gsjohnny1 lol.:beer

I did not see Sonny Seal with a 455, 350 was his game and THAT was 20 years ago. :bla:

I do not see any word on the intake, clue us in. What, I got to be like gsjohnny1 and get the glue out? Innovate!

And there you have it folks we are just a hot bunch us 350 guys. :blast:

The heads and intake are being made for sure, it is not a maybe.... The intake should not be much longer and the heads will be worth the wait... I never understood why the 350 was so controversial...

All i know is that with the alum heads and some boost, 355 cubes should be enough to make some serious power.

    BUICKRAT Got any treats?

I built 455's before the info was out there (no young'un here), and I'm sure you know the old saying: no replacement for displacement...why bother with a 350? 350's blow up just as easy as 455's. If I was a chevy/mopar/ford guy, it would be the same. More cubes = more torque. Torque is what wins races. :TU::TU::3gears:

    Good Luck, guys!

    BUICKRAT Got any treats?

ps...what is the point of bracket racing? Isn't the idea of racing to be the fastest car? Consistency be damned, I want a fast car!!!

Well big boys with your 455's I raced a Mustang on a roll out of first gear with the 125 shot of nitrous and as soon as I hit the gas I hit the rev limiter at 6200 with the FULL nitrous on and just banged 2nd gear and beat that supercharged Mustang. Didn't blow up and that was in 2005. Ran a bunch of times down the track after that. Think yer 455 could handle that. Car still runs today. I am not afraid to street race. Yeah, it takes a big block to beat me so you better keep it. Just bustin yer balls no pun intended.

All races at the track are mostly bracket and not heads up, only in time trials do you get that unless you are in the quick 16 and you better be in the 10's for that. How many 350 Chevy's are in that class. I ran 11.81 spinning tires out of first gear @114 mph. What, not fast enough?

Give me that damn single plane intake like you guys have and I will run a bigger shot and see if I can hit that 10.99. Going 11.81 without hardly any parts is pretty damn good if you would ask me.

Haven't heard a word from TA yet on arrival of the intake. Better yet, the heads. If I had a turbo set up I sure as heck would not have been on here the last 5 years waiting for heads to Maybe to be developed and made, I would have done it now.

You're hearing right from the horses mouth they want a 455 to win the race.

To tell you the truth I should have just done that instead 20 years ago and I wouldn't be here bit chin today about this at a lllll!

The original quote is "Where are alll those 350 Racers at?" Non existent. Been over 6 years since those turbos come out and no one around. In my 6 year period from 1988 to 1994 I had the car painted, put a handling package on the car (meet me in the twisties), and had the motor completely rebuilt with every part I could buy along with porting the heads and had a dyno session, and no one here can at least built a motor in that time?

Get yer butts out of the woodwork. Build a hot 350 or sit here and give me crap, ha. Those heads are 3 years out, guaranteed. If at all.
