did you run true duals in your setup or was there an x or h pipe in the system? the only reason i was saying i wanted to swap the gears is because i can't even squawk the tires in the car. i'm running 295/50/15's in the rear which is what came on the car when i bought it. the fronts are a bit less wide. 245's i think. either way, it's rather discourageing to sit at the light an not be able to floor it and burn rubber. i'll look into the exhaust system if you think that is the culprit to my lack of lowend power. it is a muscle car dangit! it sounds the part with the cam, but won't perform when i let it eat! even when i powerbrake it. :Do No: new plug wires are also next on the list. the current ones are the ones that came with it, and from the looks of everything else i've replaced, i'm sure they too are overdue.

I ran the headers, and 2.5" tube only, no mufflers... I just played with different lengths of tubing to change the backpressure.. I found the 6' length of 2.5" tube off the headers gave the best low rpm torque for a street car.

I am excited for the dual with x pipe 3" exhaust on the Twin Turbo Skylark 350!

You likely have a miss and your timing may not be optimal! You should peal the tires!

I took this stock Buick 350 and only added:

New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, NOS 73 Buick 350 carb, timing 14 degrees initial, 34 total all in by 2200 RPM, 8 degrees of vacuum advance on a ported vacuum source, headers and dual 2.5 exhaust, bone stock 73 Buick 350 with 35,000 miles.

Found a plug wire that was bad. Planning to replace the old busted 7mm wires with new accel 8mm ones. Afterward I'll rework my timing. Hope that fixed it. When do u know when to replace the cap and rotor? If your answer is now, go with a stock one? I converted with the pertronix kit so the points are gone.

I would replace the cap and rotor to be safe... I use the stock type with the brass terminals... The non brass are not as good I find.
