Yep, it has the notch…. If I’m following you correctly that’s the problem as my car is a 1970

I'm on my computer and see it now; thank you. Looks like I have a later top bracket on mine as it has a notch on it.
Anyone have a top bracket they can sell me for a 1970?

check with oldschool85 or Dano on the board. If they don't have one, post a "wanted" ad.

I think the only one I have is in a car & already have someone who wants the whole underhood sys. but I'll check.

Could check w/ @John Stevens too.

@jkat if need any more pics, lmk.

Sounds like the bracket - and system- is spoken for.
Do you have the under hood duct work?

Not sure what you're referring to re "underhood ductwork."

If you mean underdash ductwork, I have a very nice set of everything & a set if controls, vacuum harness, underdash heater core box, etc. - pretty sure I have the ductwork it listed on here.

    Yes underdash
    Where is it listed?

Couple otjer pieces linked to in the thread. Tbh, I'm really suprised it didn't sell. Don't have the dash controller/vacuum harness or underdash heater core boxes (have orig. & one that's restored) listed but I have the stuff.

I may take them; will let you know in a few days as John is sending me some items, if he has the parts may try to save a bit on shipping as I am in Houston.

As I am installing a new system- the one on the car was removed decades ago, where is it suggested that I mount the drier? Also the air is blowing out of the lower vent (which is the only vent there is now) on all settings. Is the "door " above it suppose to open ?

Did you get the top bracket that you need? I found one today that does not have the notch.

What am I missing? The top bracket is correct for a 70 model. When I purchased the car it has the wrong year top bracket. I am having problems lining up the hole for the alt bracket. I have limited movement looking at the back bracket off the back of the compressor..What looks off in these 3 pictures? Is there another alt bracket?
