Well, it runs and drives now. Top goes up and down. Looks like I'll be taking it to the conv top guy next weekend.

I had a couple leaks off the bat when I fired it up for the first time. One transmission cooling line fitting, and an oddball oil leak from the oil pump housing. It seems to have fixed itself, but I'll keep an eye on it. Might end up pulling the pump apart and resealing. Fuel filter housing was dripping, but easy fix with a couple wrenches.

It took me a couple hours to get the top working smoothly...kept blowing fuses. But once I got everything lubed and adjusted, it stopped blowing them. EDIT: I was plugged into the wrong power port on the fuse block. Stupid stupid:D

Apparently, there are two types of convertible tops on these cars...and we ended up with the wrong one. I brought the car back here today to wait another 3 weeks to have the correct top made. Will take it back when he gets it in.

Just when you think you’ve got it whipped, right? I did not know there are two types of tops.

I didn't either. He said there is a type with a floating rear bow, and one without. One type is super rare. This one has a floating rear bow.

Convertible top was installed and brought back here last week. Once that was back, I was able to adjust the windows and install the interior. I took care of some loose ends to prep for completion. The chrome shop is supposed to be shipping me the headlight bezels and hood chrome. Once I get that, I can get the front end together. Rear bumper has a big flaw in it, so that isn't going on.

We have confirmed this as one of the cars that will be unveiled at MCACN 2021. So if you want to see it, you have to come to the show:D ....or just wait until photos pop up on the interwebz. It's a gorgeous color combination with the white top and pearl white interior. WOW!

I looks even better in person than I'd expected.
It was/is but there are so many at this show it's easy to get lost, esp. if one didn't read the show board to see what makes this one so unique.

    Thank you, everyone!

The convertible got a Concours Gold award last night! Very proud builder here. Lots of little things that we can easily correct to make this car as perfect as possible. It’s going home today, so maybe another day for that.

EDIT: also received a celebrity pick award
