As some of you may know that we are working on a 455 hyd roller cam core. I also have looked into making a hyd roller core for the 350 Buick as well. I would like to know how much interest there might be. Maybe some one can start a list, or just call TA Perf and give us a tentative order. Price should be about $285.00 for the core only.

    Mike,
I'm really looking forward to the 455 hydraulic rollers. Any idea when these might be available. I'll be glad to send you a deposit for a pre order.

i'm looking to get mine running in a few months, and would love the idea of a roller cam. i know poston would make a custom roller cam to, but my dilema is what lifters and pushrods would be needed?

    Hi Mike,

Have you guys considered blanks for the 215/300/340/Rover engines? It is a world wide market just waiting to be tapped! There are some shops over in Oz and the UK that I'm sure would be interested in these. I'm sure production of these engines over the years would dwarf the Nailhead and 455 numbers.

I've been thinking of a cam swap on my 340, but I'm scared to death of wiping it out after reading all the horror stories.

    Thanks for all you efforts!

I am ready to do a new motor. A roller cam would be nice. Any progress on the alum heads yet? Would there be different cams for which type of power adder you use whether it would be a blow thru setup or a turbo set up or naturally asperated set up? I am getting a ton of power with nitrous being used (125 hp setup).

It all depends on whether the grinds available are mild enough for my tastes. I am planning to build up Pandora's '72 350 in the not too distant future and am stuck between the TA_112-350 and the TA_212-350. I'd love to see a roller in that range.

The 212 is awesome, and I'm sure I can find plenty of people to back me up on that.

    71skylark3504v,

I know that quite a few of the members of this forum would back you up on your love of the TA_212. I'm still a little concerned that it might make the car a little thirsty for my tastes. What sort of fuel economy do you get with your Skylark?

Haha, don't ask me please. I've been swapping so many parts, it's not pretty. I've never gotten better than 12 MPG around town though. Stock cam or 212.

Definitely interested. How about some forged pistons and rods also. Getting a little hard to find without special ordering them. (big $$$)

do you need any special lifters or pushrods for the roller cam,
i probably wont call till im ready to order my other things from you guys for the rebuild
but what kind of cam would you recommend for a twin turbo setup with singleplane intake and chevy roller rockers 1.65 ratio?

perhaps something comparable to a poston gs-112
i want someting mild like a gs-112 or ta212 but also something that can still rev and make power in the 6500 7500 range

This is a great Idea. I talked to Mike today and put my order in. Lets get serious! Call and lets get these roller cams going- Mike indicated the AL heads were very possible. One thing at a time, and real commitments will bring real results. Thanks Mike!
