nice pictures. good looking car. first time i have seen power door locks on an x-body. and is that a clock in your instrument cluster?

and that post was not boring at all, i thoroughly enjoyed it. putting a face to the people of Iran is something our media and government does not do. also i did not know that there was a green part of Iran. You say that if we want anything from Iran to ask you, I think I would like some of that safron ice cream, can you send us all some?

    Hello my friends,
    V8sky,i saw a 73 cutlass here 2 month ago,its good looking car.:TU:

Thanks austingta, you know gov here filter many web sites like facebook, but the time of lying ended, for 32 years they show US as a enemy, they destroyed iran,we were more powerful than many countries before revolution,it was not a revolution like french one,the people of that era werent educated enough to recognize that islamic republic isnt good for a country with 3000 years history, they conqured US embassy,it was a shame and when people realized that the revolution was done by some muslim rebels,it was late.
Iran tv says nothing about Syria because they have good relation with Syria but i follow news by internet,satellite....

Old persia will come again, the time for terrorist in iran is ended.:TU:

Thanks for sharing! I have a friend that has been to Iran and he was showing me some pictures for forests and stuff from there. I to until then wasn't quite aware of how green and mountainous parts of Iran are. Though geologically, in retrospect, it made sense.

Your Skylark looks very clean and fully loaded. I sometimes think about going back to the hubcap look =D

It's nice to hear from people in other parts of the world. Everyone learns alot that way. The news tends to filter everything and make it all about these people are bad and those people are good. I will say though that the leader over there does have a fun name. Alot of people have fun saying it when the report the news. In this country we don't get many politicians with names that are difficult to pronounce.

Just make sure you take good care of those arabian parts. You may find that some people in the US would want to trade their American parts for the parts that you have. That way they can stand out more when they pull into a car show.

By the way, very good english considering the country you are in is not a friend of english speaking countries :TU:

    Hi bammax.

Thanks for your comment,i agree with you and others, that name is funny, his name is arabic, not persian,he is leader of his follower not me,
There are good and bad people all over the world ,and i cant deny it that there are bad people here too,but remember you cant imagine what a large number of people are here who love US ,i cant say it about UK!!! but people who you see in news around this leader are some guys who are paid for it,who forget their land, their history,....
Be sure that i choose my way and never change it to what they want,i follow cyrus the great way,not arab terrorist:TU:

By the way,Whats that big blue car in the left side of your photo?

Funny how people with a common interest (cars for us) can communicate and learn from each other.

Now if we can just get our leaders to understand that simple idea.

I have a customer from Iran and she makes it quite clear she is a Persian, not an Arab!

She went home last year for her birthday and brought back a lot of photos. I was amazed how western the dress was and the way the inside of her family home looked very much like a typical home here.

Guess I was expecting camels in the living room!

    Be safe my friend.

    Nice ride!
I really do miss my 78 Lark. It was just a v6 coupe, but it was my first car. 2 t-bones, and I still drove the car away. Hoping that I can find one for my oldest son after I get my 72 done.

That big blue car is my current project. It's a 1973 Buick Electra 4-door. Very very big and a very big engine to match. It makes people cry when they see how much gas it uses. I'm hoping to have it ready for car show season by the end of May. All the shows have already started so it's really driving me crazy to have the car sitting and waiting to be fixed.

For a while we had a 1974 Oldsmobile Omega, which is the Oldsmobile version of your car, but we got rid of it because it was full of rot holes. I wanted to put a big engine in it, but it was the girlfriends car and she was already spending too much money on gas.

My girlfriend asked me a question about you yesterday. Is it dangerous for you to be on an American website saying that you are not supporting the Arabian leaders?

    Greeting.

    Gulfgears
Thank you my friend,so as you said, you know exactly the difference between us, that was great.what a attractive car is over there!!
Best wishes for you and God save you.:TU:

    Hi Dave,

What a good looking car you own,i missed you too, good to find kind friend like you,
    Take care.:beers2:

    Hi Rivkid73,
So your first car was a 78 lark,i guess that you could find parts for lark easier on those days,im sure that you will find good one, some times check ebay for it,hope your project goes well.
    Take care.:beer

    Greeting bammax,
I love that 73 electra, and there is no doubt that it uses alot gas,but i think if you dont use it for every day rides it will be ok!isnt it?:TU:
Ok,i will be arrested or... if they see it,but they dont come to V8Buick to enjoy american cars,
They expeled me from highschool when i was 15 years old,i said some thing like these posts to a guy in class who taught us arabic language,
I told him: what a useless language you teach us, our language is Farsi(persian) and we need english as a second language, and i said some thing about islam and why arabs kill people, once i said to him: teacher! some radical muslims think they will be in paradise but they see hell soon for what they do like our gov,and then i was fired from highschool:Dou:
My father changed my school then:rolleyes:

Im satisfied when i remember that:) so it will be dangerous and thats why im thinking about leaving my country, because im not such a person who can be calm and say nothing.

    Take care .

There are alot of people here that have trouble keeping quiet in front of others. Alot of us have been in trouble at school or work because we say what we think and it is something that we should not say out loud :Dou:

If you read any of the topics about gas prices, or new energy sources, or anything that might have the government involved, you will see that people in this country are divided over how good or bad the government is. We don't go to jail for saying it though. Maybe someday that will change :Do No:

Even the people in Canada get mad at the way their government works, and those people never get mad at anything

bammax, you are right man, hope your law never be changed.
You said Canada!one of my friend told me there arent many americans car over there like before,is it true?
I know there were many americans car especially compact models in Canada,
And you prefer to live there or US?

I live in the US. I'm located about 4 hours drive from the Canadian border. If I drive the way I normally do than I can be there in 3 hours though.

They have a bunch of American cars in Canada. I don't think they make many of their own cars up there. Usually American cars get a new name and some new trim and are then sold in Canada as a Canadian model.

If you go to this link it shows the 3 cars in my signiture picture alot better. I had to shrink and cut the picture to make it fit the requirements. This link has the fullsize picture plus 2 other pictures.

That red caprice is in good condition too,
How much fuel that 73 Electra uses per mile?

The red Caprice is getting replaced over the summer with something better on gas. The gold Lesabre was sent to the junkyard last fall. The Electra is still a work in progress so I can honestly say it's been running on the same tank of gas since last October

One white 94 caprice was sold here for 18000 dollar last month ,that lesabre was clean and here we hardly find like that:eek2: ,but i know that its hard to own two cars, especially cars like those,so that 73 Electra is a economy car ,by the way i heard in news that destructive storm hit some states over there and some people were killed,im sorry for them:(
