Your body, paint and buff look fantastic.
Thought someone should give you slap on the back for a job well done. :)
Can't wait to see it completed.
    That color paint looks amazing.

Yellow is a great color, especially with the black. Great work!

Had a chance to get the trunk painted in spatter. Still a bit wet in the photo.

WoW, looks like new. Love the stamping lines in the trunk floorboard.
Looks like a new trunk, nice workmanship.

When you think about it, it's amazing how they build cars at the factory and how fast they do it.
What's a Restoration shop take, 2 or 3 years to restore a car.

One of the major issues I ran into, time delays in waiting for parts, and interior. I'm sure you are experiencing the same issues.
9 months for interior to arrive.
6 months for bucket seats to arrive.
Months waiting for a carburetor that didn't work right out of the box.
Finding a leak that wasn't supposed to be there. Accidently found it going through a car wash and happened to open the trunk
and found a lake of water. It was a blessing to happen to find it. Vet (Navy)

    Guess just a freak issue.
The body guys at the shop were able to cover up the pin holes under the rear window, so no more leaks.
Fortunately, no body work or repainting needed on the top side of the rear window.
Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't. Vet

Got the top from the parts car installed. Now I need to make a few adjustments. Also, got the quarter windows installed. Got the quarter windows reasonably adjusted, but need to wait for the front doors before making final adjustments.

I do have a question. I have 2 sets of quarter window outer felts. I have the car's original set (1972) and I also have the set from the parts car (1970). They are not the same. The set from the 70 have a much larger/wider inner rubber sweep vs the 72. The difference is quite significant. The original 72 felt inner sweep is about 1/3 the width of the 70. I assume the 70 felt is a replacement due to its condition, whereas the 72 felt is clearly original (a bit dry rotted). I installed the wider felt from the 70 because the condition of the rubber was so much better, but it puts a lot of pressure on the quarter glass when I have it adjusted (in/out) so it properly clears the forward jamb seal.

Were there differences in this felt over the years?

Should not be a difference in stock originals. Usually the repops have a narrower rubber on the outside due to the way they are manufactured. Nice work...

Thx. Here a few pics of the 70 felt (installed) vs 72 felt (in my hand). Also, note the thinner 72 felt have plastic guides molded in on each end.

Not all repros are the same. If that was my car, I'd buy a good quality set like TWE. Stay away from the "Repops" brand

Any recommendations on where to buy these good quality sets like TWE?
