I don't understand why they didn't cast in injector bosses into it. I plan on doing one in a '65 Rivi I have and will put in a stock ls style efi on it like I did my GS.
Hi, Have you tried and contacting TA and see if they might offer it as a option as it's not a huge change to the molds, just more AL, also betting you're not the only one who would like them there for the fuel injection route. Regards, Jim

I used to make an obsolete product for BMW motorcycles. You wouldn't believe how many people said they'd buy one. When I actually had some made and offered them for sale...crickets. A few people complained about the price and the rest just never got back to me. I've heard several people say there's no real demand for these Nailhead parts. It sounds like they're right.
There was a demand for them about 10 years ago. How come there's no testing on them flow numbers horsepower test whatever. Then why are they making them at all if there's no demand. How long does it take to make them once you announce it.
I dont know those answers. But I do know my own experience that few people put their money where their mouths are; especially on the internet.
It's amazing to myself how many $$$ others spend on other makes. When something DOES FINALLY come out for our beloved "Nails" most ALL sing the birds song, "Cheap/Cheap", Cheap/Cheap". Tom T.
I'd like to see some flow info as compared to the stock 4v manifold before dropping 500 bucks on one. If the flow was better balanced or higher across the board I'd get one for a future build.
I think there will be some demand especially with some people asking $450-$600 for the 1966 very heavy cast iron Qjet intakes. I’d much rather have a brand new aluminum one.
Hi, Swiped from Google: aluminum (Al) has a density of 2.70 g/cm3 near room temperature while iron (Fe) has 7.87 g/cm3. In other words, a cubic centimeter of Al weighs 2.70 grams while one cubic cm of Fe weighs 7.87 grams. That's nearly 3 times heavier than Al for pieces of metal with identical volumes. Regards, Jim
I weighed my TA one on the bathroom scale, hope it’s accurate! (Seems to read high when I get on it!) The one milled out for a Qjet would weigh a tad less.
Anyone know off hand what an iron intake weighs?? I brought one of mine in to weigh and the scale battery bit the dust!
I'm surprised that it's only 30lbs. I remember them feeling pretty heavy and thats when I was a young "stud" and in shape LoL! The 350 and 455's are like 55lbs. Still though 15lbs savings is good and being AL is nice..
I would be happy to pay $$$ for it, if it made since, better performance. Not just a savings of 15 lbs. hell I can lose 15lbs for $$$ show me some numbers !!!
