I'm not Judge Wapner, but I can't see you having a criminal case against a supplier...

Just think, in 20 years the few that are out there are going to be collectors items like the Stg III block! Heck, they're rare now!!

I had in my signature before that I had a rare set of Bulldog heads. Some told me, "what, they are going to make more"......:error:

I inquired about the status in January. (Mine has been paid in full for several years now) I was told "your block should be there in about 2 weeks, it's at the machine shop now getting finished." I followed up 4 weeks later and never heard back. It's all a big lie. The money is gone. You would have to be a fool to believe otherwise. But I'm not done. You will see. Dennis

as i've pointed out elsewhere on this subject: if worse comes to worst, you may want to seek all of Bradshaw's BBB CAD/CAM files as part of the settlement.

whether or not TA/Mike would have any interest in them i have no idea ... but it's someplace to start from.

Good Luck Dennis, I hope you get something back. I'm sorry all you guys are getting screwed over like this  I have never meant any harm or wanted to upset anyone here. I only wanted to make sure that other people did not get sucked into Dicks web of lies. Sorry guys.....Chris Skaling

You really think that he has CAD files? No Way!! I know for a fact the block was reverse enginered, and not well documented either. I was the one that sent him the GM factory blueprints for the oil pan bolt hole locations. Never heard a "thank you" either.
I feel bad for people that have lost money too! I was almost one of them, but after meeting with Dick and talking with him, my "gut" told me "NO". I really hope that the people that have paid, get "something" back!

for all the poor business practices Dick has demonstrated he has produced more than one physical block ... and those molds have to have been cut/formed/shaped from some type of design system.

at this point, it may be practically the only asset left that's worth going after. (if Dick has any brains at all Bulldog was an LLC)

if you're going to move forward on the legal front you may want to try to assemble a list of people who have placed deposits/full payments on blocks and try to do this as a class action suit.

perhaps Jim Lore could offer you a little off the cuff advice? i'm not a lawyer but he is....

Who ever he had doing the machining most likely wrote a program for their CNC, either off-line or conversational, based off of whatever crude drawings he has. I would bet money that he does NOT have "full" 2D CAD drawings of this block, much less a 3D CAD version like Pro-E, SolidWorks, AutoCad Inventor, Etc. If he did have a full blown 3D CAD file, he would of had very little trouble finding a competent shop do do his machining. I have pretty good info about this from quite reliable sources. Besides, I do this stuff everyday for a living, I can tell how he was progressing and after talking with him at the PRI show, I backed off putting money down on one.

I truley believe that if he had full CAD files finished, along with GOOD casting patterns, someone with the "means" would have taken this project over. No one that's into producing blocks for profit wants to take on a project like this that was so,.... let's call it "low dollar". They would basicly need to re-do everything, and at that level it becomes "not profitable" for them, especially with the low volume that the Buick block would provide.

Of course, this is just my opinion, and I truley hope that everyone gets their money back or a block handed to them, but I'm not so sure that's going to happen.

you may be right, i have no direct experience with anyone involved here ... but damn, if true that's some amazingly shoddy work. especially for a guy who was supposed to have been involved with previous block design ventures.

nonetheless, as i pointed out earlier, the blueprints are likely to be practically the only thing of 'value' left to the company...

the REAL insult here is that recent magazine article on the Bradshaw block being available in a few weeks ... someone with a vested interest should get in touch with the magazine and have them PRINT exactly what the real story has been behind this thing :puzzled:

There's "no supposed" to it....he worked for years at Indy Head Service, did ALL their head castings and the INDY MAX Blocks....so he does know what he's doing from the techincal standpoint. But I believe when he quit and went to doing his own thing he had very little clue to the business side of things.:Do No:

Want an update? So do I. I can't give you an update because Dick Bradshaw will not give me an update. Here's what i know. There are some blocks cast. there has been a machine purchased for the sole purpose of machining his blocks. Supposedly the machine is operational and being programmed.
This whole thing has gotten so out of hand that even i have lost my patience with the whole thing. I have been in contact with other vendors and we are trying to figure out the best course of action. We are trying to not do anything to kill the whole thing, bradshaw is doing a good job of that himself. He has decided that no information is better than disappointing information. He is wrong on that. Myself and others have been diligently working on a course of action to get these blocks delivered.
i am not just sitting here doing nothing. Maybe what I am doing is wrong but it is all I know to do at the moment. I am planning another trip to indy in the next few weeks to ty to get some resolution on this deal. I was very proud to be a part of getting this deal going in the beginning, but now regret being involved. I am sure most people would rather have the block than a refund, but not 2 years from now. It needs to be now. I am working diligently to get this whole issue resolved. I am not posting to get slammed here. If anyone has any helpful ideas, I would be interested in hearing from you privately. There is a course of action I can take , but it would definately kill the whole project. This is not what I want to do. I want these blocks. We know it can be done because it has been done already. Guys, slamming me or bradshaw right now will not get things moving any faster. I am looking for suggestions at this point. Rehashing the problem won't solve it. Guys, I am looking for ways to solve this problem , not make it worse. I appollogize to the entire Buick community for this fiasco. On another note, If I did not think there was any chance of these blocks being delivered, I would tell you. Guys, I am on your side here. Thanks for listening. Jim Burek jburek@highstream.net 915-855-6009
