Jim, It had to be hard to say what you just did. I am sorry for you too, as you were one of the most faithful, and have borne alot of the abuse whether it was justified or not.

Best of luck with your efforts.

Jim, I do have a very good suggestion. Why don't you give me my money back. I paid you in full and in good faith. You can't deliver the product. Just refund my money and I'll be happy. You can do whatever you want with the "new block" that you said would be ready for delivery in January 2007 when we last spoke. Dennis

Jim, It takes some big nugets to get on here and make a statement like this:TU: . All you and Jeff were trying to do was give something to the buick racer's that was long over due. Jim and Jeff along with everyone with money tied up in this deal, I'm real sorry this has turned out this way. I keep hoping Dick will see how bad this is getting for him and makes a HUGE step to getting the ball rolling again:( Dennis, by the end of next week If bradshaw doesn't try to make this right he will be real famous:spank: Chris

In order to make this right we need to understand the root cause of the problem...

Obviously this is not a problem of capability, but of CAPITAL. I know each of you shelled out a TON of money for your blocks but as a whole, I'm assuming there was barely enough $ on total to cover start-up, operating and over head costs, not to mention profits. Jim am I even remotely close here?

If I am, then obviously more capital is needed. NO, I am not suggesting that the folks who purchased their blocks pay even more. Instead, I suggest looking for outside sponsors or even private investors to get involved. Has anyone spoken to Car Craft, Hot Rod, Summit, Jegs, or even Buick Corporate to see if they could help out in some way? What about contacting some of the Super-car builders like Chip Foose or Trapainer? I mean who knows... maybe Jay Leno might be interested in donating $ if he's promised one of the first blocks?! Even if these do sound like crazy dreams, HAS ANYONE EVEN TRIED ANY OF THESE ROUTES???

    Jim,
Glad to see you back on the board some! You were missed. It's a shame you got into this mess with these blocks. Hopefully it all works out.

  7. After all that has transpired i dont think any company or person would be willing to invest in this project. I feel for all the people who have money invested and have nothing to show for it. Bob

I have been in contact with the actual machine shop that will be machining the blocks. The previous machine shop closed it's doors. This other shop stepped up and bought the CNC machine to do the job, had to do extensive repairs because the machine was not operational, (it was supposed to be) , has been putting together the required tooling to do the machining, this was supposed to be supplied by Bradshaw but was not.
This gentleman has been making payments on a machine for a few months and doing repairs on a mchine that has not produced any parts as of yet. It is now operational and ready to go into service. he told me on tueday june 19th 2007 that he was going to the auction of the other machine shop to see if he could purchase the rest of the tooling he needed for this job, obviously they have it since they machined the current blocks out there, including the one in my shop right now. His plan is to be maching blocks this comming week. This guy seems very upfront with me with information and has nothing to hide. I have not heard from bradshaw in over a month. i do know for a fact that there are blocks sitting in this guys shop ready to be machined. His shop is located in Indianapolis, he is not a part of Bulldog , he his an independant shop. he felt it was lucrative to buy this machine and machine these blocks as well as other blocks comming down the pike.
So this guy stepped up and invested between $100,000 to $200,000 in order to get blocks done. All at the word of Dick Bradshaw that there would be blocks to machine. My point is this, I don't think he would have invested this kind of money on equipment if he did not feel there were or would be no blocks. My hat goes off to him. Way to go Steve! The light at the end of the tunnel is now glowing brightly.
So while i know about everyone that has tied up money on blocks, there aint nobody that has tied up the kind of money that this man has towards this project. Jim Burek P.A.E ENTERPRISES

Sounds like a step forward Jim, thanks for the update! Do you know if there will be any "extra, or left over" blocks out of this crazy deal? I'm sure there are some guy's that have thrown in the towel by now, I'm just wondering what will happen to those blocks, if this ever happens. Just testing these shark infested waters here, not trying to stir anything up, or commit to anything. Just looking ahead:3gears:. Thanks again Jim for addressing this.

David, I'm with you. If there are any blocks left over, I'd like to pay the remaining difference for one! Who would I need to talk to???

David and Leo...I have written certified letters to Jim Burek asking for my money back on my Bull Dog block. Jim responded by phone and told me it is at the machine shop waiting to be machined. Why don't you guys and Mr. Burek get together with me and you can purchase my block, since it was paid in full several years ago. I am throwing the towel in and you're more than welcome to step in and catch it. I just don't want to find out that guys that never put money on the table for a block are now entitled to get one before me or anybody else that paid for one. That would be a real kick in the you know what. Let me know. Dennis Lyons

Leo, I'm not looking to get a deal on anything, I'm just wondering what, if anything will be available for purchase once the prepaid blocks are gone.

Dennis, thanks for the offer. When, or if I ever buy a Bulldog block, it will be after the dust settles for everyone else that's been waiting all this time. If there are no "leftover" blocks, at least there hope for the TA block some day.

I really feel for all you guys that have stepped up to the plate in good faith on this deal. It's really a shame that it's had to come this far.

Oh, yeah. $3600, thats steap, a girdle is looking a lot cheaper now.

Options add to that. 4.5 bore, reduced dia mains, larger cam bore, etc.

By the time you find a good block, buy a girdle, pay to have it installed, modify the oiling system, etc, $3600 doesn't seem so bad.
