Walt, I don't know what happened in '84, but yours was the first other '66 GS I had ever seen in person. I finally finished school, and must have ebgun feeling charitable, because I started a home for wayward Gran Sports. I get these poor underfed, underloved waifs, and feed them , put a roof over their heads and give them makeovers. Next thing I know they are getting all uppity, making noise and waking the neighbors. Fortunately, I know how to keep them in tune with "the program" I have been flirting with the idea of restoring the 4-speed convertible with full out performance mods such as ported heads, headers, Hilborn, magneto, etc. but where would I use all of the stock parts I have collected for it........on another car, I guessou: Dan

wickedly addicted First of all I wish I got paid to visit this website. Secondly I have my first child on the way and within the last 6 month I have purchased a 68 skylark and a 69 GS 400 Convert. Last week I looked at a 69 GS 400, a 69 Skylark convert, and a large group of 69 GS parts. The addiction to Buick consumes my mind and even though I do not need or have room for another car I can't stand the thought of passing a deal up. I'm thinking that when the kid arrives I will be able to say that I am planning and building his/her first car so that the boss will allow the addiction to continue. Also it is contagious because my little brother and best friend now have the disease and it is rapidly progressing.

LOL! I have the same disease! Even, transported (drove all but one) 7 cars from D.C. to NV. and a U-Haul trailer (full of parts). Bought 7 more cars, in the last 12 years. Still have 10-12 Spare Motors, Several Trans. Etc, etc. "You, never know...when you are going to need these parts...But, it is Great to just look-through your junk and find just what you needed! And then, attempt to find the part, to replace your "spare's." And, be able to take your time, finding it. Because, you don't need it this second!
