Ok, and "finally" a suitable alum. sbb(Rover)block, thanks to Mike at WedgeWorks, to go with those TA heads. He's made a 4.02" BORE! He's talkin 340 or,booo-Wildcat heads(shame). IF he can just keep it together.... To be "peeped" over at British V8 forum.roverman.

We're going to try to assembly an engine to make sure everything fits right and goes together correctly, we just need an intake. Is there anyone that would be willing to loan us an intake to use?

    Thank you in advance :)

I've got a spare you can use. It's nothing special just an edelbrock 3.5 dual plane but it is dimensionally correct. I can ship it out tomorrow.

Never even used it. I've already assembled the engine with the Harcourt. Yer left with the Edelbrock. Let me know if it's useful. As you can see, I'm fabricating adapter plates to put your bitchin' valve covers on my 300 heads:

the shop that does my engine does a lot ricers with the liners. i've looked at them real hard for the 350. after seeing the rover, maybe its time to look again.

Ok, to be fair the 401 would need some major gusseting to hold together. That was my hangup. I saw Mike's 4" bore and just worked the numbers with using the offset ground 350 crank with the "Honda" rod.

Honestly, I'm not sure the 401 is even possible. Sure would be fun to try though.

I'll show dad when he gets back from running errands, I think that would be much more useful than the one we have here, it has 3 hole openings in like triangles shapes. We dont have a carb like that to bold to it so that would work much better, I'll see what he says. And yes the valve covers look great on the engine, we'll have holes to bolt them on our new heads :TU:

Thanks for your help, I'll get back to ya in a few hours.

Cool. Just let me know. It's just collecting dust. You can pretty much do what ever you want to it, as far as I'm conserned, if it helps get those heads on the market. We're gonna have to discuss the price when we get to it.

OH! I meant what the price on the heads are going to be not the intake. Obviously I'm not trying to sell that. LOL That sounded bad.

    Let me know.

Mike, So TA sells roller cams for 350 sbbs. How bout a quote for qty. 10-25 for 215-340 sbb/Rovers ? You know to get the most out of the new head, will take a hyd/mech. roller, right? If we just wanted "Merlin", performance, we wouldn't be askin TA, right? Thanks, roverman.

Ok, Late breaking news. How bout TA Rover heads at Bonneville? I think a good opportunity for TA at the "Big Salt". I suggest "peeping"-wwwaardemasohc.net. Their building a Rover eng. to go 188mph.+ at 6,500'(corrected)?, all motor.Did you know, not only Lotus head but Lexus head has SAME bore spacing, or Infinity is same as sbc at 4.4" ? 32 valve 350 sbb anyone? roverman.

Sorry I've been working on business and personal stuff from morning till late at night so I haven't had a chance to get on very much. I'll try to remember to ask about the cams (I'll be swamped doing shipping and receiving).

what does this have to do with us? SBB bore spacing is 4.240"

Some people like to do things differently, say like putting overhead cam heads on a former push rod block. I know of no 350/sbb specific, alum. heads available, but Lotus 907/912 and Lexus V8 heads have 4.24" bore spacing. A lot of work, but for a talented few-worth it. I "still" suggest peeping, aademasohc.com, for a better idea. roverman.
