lets not forget what the question was. "its not what do you think is better?" we dont want this to get ugly!!! everybody has an opinion and a preference. i chose a Dodge because the Cummins is a proven motor, they install them in about everything and they give a 100k mi warranty and Dodge does have the body style:Brow: i went to a local diesel drag this past weekend and only a couple Fords showed up and 1 Chevy the rest were Dodges, the Fords were about 1 sec off my 1/4 mile times and i didnt see the Chevy run. with some work they ALL run good, its amazing what a hopped up diesel can run!! the only thing i have on my truck is an edge ez other than that its bone stock!!! just my .02:TU:
ok, who wants to wager???????? Jim Haas in his Duramax or PowerStroke vs Scott Streidl in his Dodge Cummins. I think the track should have some down time for this race??????uzzled: Let's run 'em and see what happens!:3gears:
Sounds great! I'll volunteer to give them the "go!", then jump into my Bronco, cruise down to the finish line and take a photo so we know who wins. :TU:
boat & trailer tower Might not haul the car around but it makes short work of the trihaul boat and the rather large utility trailer. And best of all it's a BUICK!!!
I have driven them all and all the new diesels run well with a few add-ons. BUT, simply adding a power module to the new Powerstroke is amazing! Our business has owned 6.2, 7.3 non turbo, 6.5 turbo, 24 valve cummins, 7.3 turbo, and last 6.0 PS. My buddies like joking with me. So, last week I drove a 2004 Cummins with over $1 grand in add-ons, and this week a 2004 Duramax with $900 worth of performance add-ons. The new Ford would run circles around both. And it's a larger ton where they were 3/4 tons. I like them all, but you guys better watch your bets. BLUE OVAL rules!! :3gears:
lets do it Lets race them just cause we can i will be at salem thursday morning some time. lets see if we can get them to let us run um. :3gears: :3gears: :3gears: :beer :Brow: later hopson
