Brad, My Suburban has the diesel.

    Oh! I forgot it's 20 years old.

6.2 with 700r4 trans. pulls good until you really load it down with a 26' enclosed trailer and full weight GS. I can tow in overdrive but only with an open car trailer. And yes it comes out of OD when it see's a hill.

My new Tow vehicle, 2004 Dodge 2500 w/ 325hp 600ft/lb Cummins diesel. Ive never owned a Dodge or a Diesel before now, but WOW what power this thing has! I dont know if I will ever go back to a gasoline engine in a truck again!
I had to keep looking behind me to see if the Car/trailer were still there...too smooth!

We stayed with GM for many years until the Duramax came out. We waited for it only to be told the order time could be up to 1 year for arrival of the truck. 3 dealers and the same story. A new truck was needed faster than 1 year, so we ordered the Chevy, but went to the Ford dealer and drove a Powerstroke. Bought the Ford and planned on trading it in on the Duramax when it came in from GM. 7 months later, the Duramax came in, but after driving it, the Ford seemed superior, so we told the dealer to keep it. Long story short, now we have had 4 Ford Powerstrokes in the last 4 years (rolled the first over on the farm). The latest being the one pictured here with the new version of the engine. One mean truck!!!! In part thanks to BD Power!!! GM would have kept a loyal buyer if they would have not fallen asleep.
