I've work as an autoglass shop manager/installer. Enjoy the job, been doing it for about 15yrs., the past 2 as a shop manager.
I get to work on alot of different vehicles from vintage musclecars, hot rods, mom & pop every day daily drivers, 18 wheelers, even put glass in a few trains.

There are dealership, fleet, bodyshop, insurance, and regular consumers who all require new glass installed in vehicles due to accidents, vandalism, or hazards of the road.

It's a job that I take a lot of pride in my workmanship and enjoy meeting all the folks who are my customers, many of whom are car fanatics like myself.

I own a small roof and floor truss (rafters:rolleyes: ) manufacturing business. I'm the BOSS so I am trying to do as little actual work as possible:bglasses: I actually spent the last year setting the place up so that I don't have to work much at all. I figure that by spring I can work 1 week out of the month and get it done. Still haven't figured out what I'm going to do with all that extra time but, I'm working:pp on it.

I started out as a mechanical designer/draftsman about 12 years ago. I started designing piping systems for Siemens gas turbine generators. They wanted me to move to Milwaukee (ugh!) so found another job so I could stay in sunny Florida. I've been at my present job for 10 years now. Started as a CAD designer, worked up through project management, operations manager, and now Vice President, so I do everything. We do engineering and inspection for aboveground storage tanks, including water, oil, and chemical. I inspect every type of tank from big oil tanks at power plants and refineries, to water towers for cities and towns. As part of my job I've been on Navy bases, indian reservations, state prisons, chemical plants, phosphate mines, Coast Guard ships, and I've climbed lots of water towers. The tallest so far is 212 ft. I think my three kids are the most work, though!

    Have fun.

I've been working at the University of Minnesota-Duluth for 23 years. Started out in Computer Operations and am now working as a Network and Telecomm Technician. Basically, I help design the phone and data infrastructure then install it all and maintain it.

Just when I think I have been everywhere on this campus I end up in a room or sub-basement I've never seen before!

Two daughters, 11 and 8, keep me busy evenings. Helping with homework can be a challenge!

    Wow,
What a lot of interesting jobs out there. I'm in management with our local realtor association for the past 8 years. I was in real estate sales for many years before that but working Mon - Fri gives me a lot more time to devote to my cars.
