Yeaaaa about the air shocks.......When I got home from Iraq I put in 2 alpine type r 15's and I needed the air shocks to lift the ass end up so I wouldnt scrape i dont have the 15's anymore but I still got the air shocks:rant:
now dont get crazy with a 850. too big.proform is a nice carb, as i just installed one ona 70 nova SS. its made by qiuckfuel.not a full out race carb like the quickfuel, but a little better than a holley. more up to date and a little cheeper.very easy to tune.fit a nice NOS plate under it, hit it about half way through first, and ride it all the way, baby. oh 750 dp by proform. duh oh yea what stall convereter?
you still need the pressure from the shocks, or you will wheel hop even more with alll the weight on springs.bounce bounce bounce
go to autozone or whatever and get the base shocks. i got gabreal red riders on my car. 12;99 each work great
when i built my motor that what converter i had.uzzled: then i went big dog at put in a 3500 for a summer. what a tire burnner.fun though this year im going with a 2800 stall. as i only shift it at 5000, 3500 was just to much. i drove a buddys 72 sky with a 2800, same set up as what we got, pulled just about perfect. with a 100 shot he was 13.20s, no slicks. nice
indeed ok so new carb and shocks and tune from there on. I think i need adjust the power curve on my distibutor some because mallory has em at 24 at about 3200 to 3400 stock out the box.
