Never knew Brad personally but like so many I initially read about him and his special GSX back in the 80s as a hungry GS youngster. I’ve always appreciated his input here on the board. My larger take away reading his words through the years: his humor and a true gentleman and steward for all things Buick. It’s guys like him that made me stay in the Buick community when I could’ve gone any other direction back in the day. Thanks Brad, condolences to all who knew, and were affected by him……..

    Just saw this today...

Condolences to his family and friends. Brad and I sold each other parts on occasion and we had several meaningful discussions through the years.

He was a gentleman in every respect and as knowledgeable as anyone in the Buick world.

We will all miss him and his wonderful ways. RIP, Brad.

It will be a somber moment every time someone replies to a thread where Brad has commented. It will be as if he is still here. And in a sense, with all the posts he has made over the years, he will be.

I met Brad 20 years ago. I would see him annually at the GS Nationals and at the BPG events and really enjoyed getting to know him and having the opportunity to see his rare Buicks. He was very knowledgeable, and always willing to help me with questions when I did my first frame-off resto on a 1970 GSX.

It was Brad and I that decided to prank Duane with the pink air cleaner lid at the BPG show in 2007/2008, and we had a great time planning that and pulling it off. I provided the air cleaner lid while Brad was responsible for distracting Duane long enough for me to get it on his car before the judges opened the hood. I remember being so nervous during the swap, and would never have attempted this on Duane's car without Brad's help. What a great time we all had that day!

Brad also helped me several years ago when I found a NOS GSX rear spoiler for sale in his area. He and Drew went and purchased it for me, and then brought it to the GS Nationals so I wouldn't have to risk having it shipped/damaged. What a great gesture for such a successful, busy man.

Also, I will never forget meeting up with him at MCACN in 2018 when he brought the Prototype and the Black 71 GSX to display in our GSX exhibit. I didn't get to drive them very far, but Brad allowed me to park both cars for the exhibit. Talk about being nervous!!! What an honor to be able to say I actually drove two of the most rare Buick's in the world! I felt like he may have actually trusted me, and that meant more to me than anything.

Duane - I'm so very sorry that you lost your best friend so suddenly and way too young. I know you two had a special bond, and hope that you are able to cherish those phone calls and all the laughter you guys shared poking fun at the rest of us who think we know a lot about these cars!

Drew - thank you again for your help on the rear spoiler. Your dad was a Buick icon, and will be sorely missed around here and in the Buick circles he was in. I hope to see you and the cars again one day. Please let us know if we can help you or your mom with anything.

I’ve only attended the GS Nationals a handful of times and never had the pleasure to meet Brad or see his GSX in person. From what I’ve been reading on here this afternoon, I missed out on knowing someone very special! My thoughts go out to his family and friends! R.I.P.

I knew of Brad since attending the 1988 GS Nationals and reading all of the articles about his prototype GSX.
Finally got a chance to chat with him at the 2018 MCACN show, at the GSX display. He was very willing to talk to this stranger, give advice, and share (and listen to) GS stories. I could tell right away what a good guy he was. We Buick guys are all diminished by his loss. RIP Brad …
