Condolences to family and friends. Im going to need to ask everyone over 50 (all of us) not to die for the rest of the year and hopefully longer. I'm tempted to quit and join a free diving or hang gliding forum. Seriously I'm saddened because another person I can never ask a question again is gone.
Wow, My Condolences to Brad's family, Jodie, Chelsea, Drew and Alex. I had the pleasure of knowing Brad for many years and got to know and enjoy his family as we worked together with the BPG. Absolutely stunned to hear this. I never met or spoke with him but I’ve read many of his posts and he always struck me as a very intelligent, friendly, decent man. I felt like I knew him. He leaves a very large void in our group and the hobby, as well. My condolences to his family and all who knew him here. Just wondering, how old was he?
Brad was 65, and was 9 months older then me. I know everyone here was stunned, like Beth & I were last Friday when Drew called me and let me know what was happening. It’s been a tough week for the family. Maybe we need to turn this thread around and tell some stories people know about Brad. Making this more of a memorial of his life rather then an obituary. He was a much respected class act that went to fast. If I could thank him, I'd thank him for all the great early GSCA memories, the unwavering vigilance he showed in preserving his Buicks, and the terrific contributions he made time and time again on this forum. Worst login ever...
I first met Brad way back when he was 18 or so. We had all met in Columbus to do some street racing. Cannot remember if he had the GSX yet or not. Seems he did. It was there, I remember that, along with the black car that Brian mentioned. I drove my red Stage car down that I still own, and it seems we had a few races but all in all it was a slow night. And of course, I have known Brad well in all these subsequent years. I am so sorry to hear this. Definitely a Buick icon who will be very much missed.
A Buick Icon, with the most iconic Buick muscle car gone way to young. Ridin that highway in the sky. Godspeed.
I first met Brad and his dad at the GS Nationals in 88. Kevin and I took his 70 GS to Bowling Green (the only time I have been there) and we parked Kevin's car at the motel. Right between the Prototype car and the Black GSX. Brad was very friendly to us and hung out with us,even though we had never met before. Like I said earlier, we had some good times in Ohio. We talked about the GSX project I came into in depth as well as several other things like diabetes,our health, and other things. He commented on my facebook pages and razzed me there a bunch. It will hurt to look at his Facebook page and know I wont get any funny responses... A few years ago,I went to Carlisle and found some original poster size pictures of he Prototype car before it was done up. I called him and he said he would pay whatever I wanted for them. I told him I was having copies made for me but would gladly send him the originals. He was ecstatic and tried paying me for them. I told him that's what friends do for each other.He was a true fun friend and spoke of Duane like he was his brother. He told me several times he and Duane spoke daily. That's a good friend and what one can only hope to find in your life.

The news of Brad's passing knocked the wind out of me today. I struggle for words to adequately express the sense of loss. I have known Brad for Many years, I believe I first met him at a local Columbus car cruise at the old Jerry's Drive-In about 1984-1985, where the only two Buicks in attendance were owned Brad and myself. I spoke with him far too infrequently over the years, but considered him a friend. God's blessings to all family, friends, and Brad's immortal soul.

So sorry to hear this. I have no words... I forget what year it was, but I remember when he brought the 71 GSXs restored frame to the Nats. Pretty sure that was the first time I met Brad. I always looked forward to seeing Brad (and Duane) at the Nats. Wheres that pic of Mooney sprawled over the hood of the Electra with Brad at the wheel? No one else is allowed to die on here for the next year....
I was shocked to hear this earlier today. Been a rough couple weeks here between Bruno, Frank, and now Brad. Was fortunate to have met Brad @ MCACN a couple years ago after seeing his cars several times over the many years. Rest in peace.
