It is with a very heavy heart that I must tell you that Brad Conley passed away today at 12:30 PM. He had Shoulder Pains last Friday morning, and they were so bad they called an ambulance. On the way to the hospital, he suffered a heart attack and had to be brought back. Through this last week he suffered at least 3 more heart attacks, a stroke, and finally succumbed this afternoon. He put on a valiant fight but eventually passed away. Brad was my best friend, and we had a 35-year-old friendship that started when my Father and I had breakfast with him and his Father at a Shoney’s in Bowling Green Ky. We used to talk almost every morning while we were both driving to work. I have so many fond memories of both he and his Family and I will cherish them forever. I have no further information regarding arrangements, etc., but will post something here once I find out. Please keep Jodie, Chelsea, Drew, and Alex in your thoughts. Duane
I am so sorry to hear this. I always enjoyed talking with Brad, he was always a gentleman. I hadn't seen him in many years, and always looked for him at the Buick events I did attend. We are losing too many great people. My deepest condolences to Jodie, Chelsea, Drew, and Alex, and the Conley family. He will be missed. My condolences to you as well Duane. I know how you feel. I was really close with Bruno.
So sorry for your loss. I didn't know Brad but I'd read his posts and saw him a time or two over the years the GS Nats. The community is diminished by his passing.
Oh my, horrible news. A friend from day I started having my GS restored with Dave Kleiner. Prayers to his family at this time.
I am stunned...Brad was someone I considered a great friend. He razzed me all the time about having to wait for Duane and him at restaurants like we did in Ohio. I spoke with him a few times on the phone and always had a fun conversation. I think I'll shed a few tears for him.He was not one of the good ones, but one of the great ones..Rest peacefully my friend! I won't be the only one who misses you!
If, somehiw, a reader doesn’t know who Brad was, and the car he owned, here’s a write up: http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/brad-conleys-gsx-comparison.113772/ Patrick
So very sorry to read this post! This is a huge loss to many! Prayers for comfort for his friends and family. Troy
Shocking to hear. I am very sorry for your loss Duane, and I am very sorry for Brad’s family. Brad was a stand up guy and helped me Big time with a couple cars, even though I was just some guy from a land far far away. I will miss chat with him in BG.
Heartbreaking. I never met Brad in person but did have several chats online. A Buick icon. He’ll be missed. Thoughts and prayers for his family.
Im Sorry for your loss Duane .. my condolences as well to Jodie, Chelsea, Drew, and Alex. You just could not meet a nicer guy than Brad .. or prouder carrier of the TriShield flag.
So Very Sorry Duane, Our thoughts & prayers go out to you, his family & many friends in this great hobby during this sad time. I met Brad only once (the same day I met you) at the Detroit Concours De Elegance last year. He was such a nice guy & an asset to our hobby who will be missed greatly by many. This news cuts deep. Brad was a great guy. Always jovial and friendly, as is his family as well. Not only did Brad own the insurance agency that handles a few of my policies, we had business dealings of a few other natures, and he was always nothing but a pleasure to deal with. But business aside, he was just a good natured, honorable man who worked hard and took care of his family and friends. It absolutely breaks my heart to hear of his passing. Though we didn't speak all that often, I always considered him a friend and we always spent some time together at events catching up and hanging out. My deepest condolences to Brads family and friends, we lost another invaluable member of the community. Rest in peace my friend.
I never had the privilege to meet Brad, or see his cars, but he achieved legendary status in the Buick world, Godspeed. It’s tough to lose a great friend Duane, my sincere condolences.
