You had to go bragging about it.. High of 19 today with relentless single digit wind chills.

Tonight.. Clear, with a low around 1. Wind chill values as low as -9. Northwest wind 7 to 11 mph.

Sure. Plenty of parts of the country are used to this, but we really aren't prepared.

We should be in the low 50s..

No Frogs to be seen around here, been very cold all week, -16 on tues. tonight 12 below or more with wind chills in the 20/30 below range. hunker down and ride it out! I do enjoy winter, but the cold is getting old fast! almost to cold to go skiing with the kids. (actually too cold for the boys!)

Hey Cole, God's speed to your father, you are Blessed to have him for so many years, what wonderful memories you will always have. prayer for you. where are you living now?

    Regards, Bruce

I have been watching this thread for well over a week now. I just don't understand how you guys do it. I couldn't imagine cold weather in the extreme that you have discussed. I hunt in central California and It gets low 30 degrees on real cold mornings. For me, That's painfully cold. Where I live in so. cal. well, let's just say I feel blessed when I read your forecast of -8 and snow. I guess you've acclimated. Hope you all find warmth. or bottle of southern comfort. or both.

50's and rain.. cold and damp.. no good..

Skip the knitted sweater for those frogs, they are going to need an insulated nylon Jacket.. and some galoshes for the melting ice..

5* and Bright sun here.. nice day, everything considered.

Was a little nippy at -19 this morning.. I almost wore gloves to run an errand with the truck... almost..

It's so cold here my frogs are frozen together. It's going down to zero or maybe a little lower tonight. The heater runs non stop and has trouble keeping some rooms above 65*. I have the wood fireplace stoked - it helps a bit and a couple of small forced air electric heaters where needed too.

We won't be hearing from the frogs around here for quite some time. Matter of fact, we may be driving the cars to the track in the spring:

7 degrees which is a record for the date here. We cannot find any frog ice skates that fit down here. Can you help out a fellow man's frogs?

I feel kind of sorry for Kermit. His girlfriend is such a pig and he seems oblivious.

Predicting 29 degrees here tomorrow = Heat Wave!!

35 deg. here in SW Florida this AM. I'm not expecting a pity party, but it's cold by Florida standards.

70 degrees in so cal today, marine layer covering most of the coast this morning. haven't seen frogs for over a year. sure could use some rain.
looks like there may be some rain in a few days but very uneventful. Drought conditions remain severe. lakes are low and the wildlife are suffering.

Rob--I am quite confident that we received at least 1/4 inch more than you show in your picture.

Agreed. It covered all of the grass blades at my house.

Schools shut down early Monday afternoon (it snowed and sleeted Monday night) and will remain closed until the following Monday. Yep..

Why?? Liability. There are still plenty of ice covered streets and sidewalks. It's Friday afternoon and my driveway is DANGEROUS to walk on.

You cannot walk down my driveway, much less drive on it, without spiked shoes.
