..out from the creek beds once again. With several days in the 60s the arrival of spring is once again finally in view.
Yep, we have daffodils blooming, iris coming up, and the serenade of frogs from our creek. It was sunny and high 60s this past weekend. Bring on spring! Patrick
We have really loud frogs on our property here in Central MN.. Haven't heard a peep from them, but I suppose it could be 'cause they are still under the ice and snow.. :Brow: Frogs start calling in May around here. 1-3" of snow tomorrow.. uzzled:
A small snapping turtle was seen here today. But I understanding those Canadians are letting some more cold air escape later this week.uzzled:
No frogs here yet, too darn cold. Freezing rain earlier today, slick as snot under foot and now a wee bit if the white stuff, not enough to enjoy though.
I saw the concrete of my drive way yesterday and two small spots of grass... No frogs or turtles here!
No froggies croaking in the pond near me. We had 2 days in the 50's, but not enough to thaw them out. Back to the 20's at the moment
I just came in from riding the snowmobile. We have well over a foot of snow still on the ground. My wife got stuck in the driveway yesterday. Frogs....lol
I just walked outside. The tree frogs are singing, the rain has cleared out and the sky is spectacular. Jupiter overhead, Orion's Belt, and many others I don't know the names of, high 50s with a light breeze off the lake. It's nice. Patrick Edit: Came inside, saw the live feed from Boston on the news. Sorry guys if this rubs salt into any wounds.
I think that's right.............and there's something about them smoking pipes as well. One of their names is Glen too.
Our ponds in the backyard are starting to thaw but no outside frogs yet.We do have one inside:rant: There used to be a pool in our yard, but was filled in years ago. There is some kind of tunnel the water pipes run through that connects to a shutoff that's in the concrete slab covered by a wood lid, covered by a vinyl floor. frogs find it every year & end up in my man-cave room under the floor ribbitting like crazy! p
Not enough water in Utah to have frogs I don't think, but it has been 60's and sunny the past week. Went for a nice motorcycle ride with my Lady on Sunday up to Cold Stone for some ice cream:grin: I have 21 Koi fish in a 3000 gallon pond in my back yard....they are confused as heck. The pond froze over (just barely) a couple months ago, and they were all lined up on the bottom, hibernating for the winter. I was looking forward to not having to feed them until spring. The past couple of weeks they have been swimming around, chomping at the bit for food every morning! Spring has sprung early in Sandy, Utah:TU:
Had that problem every spring when we kept koi, but I listened and held off until water temp stable 45F (some "experts" said 40, some 50...so I split difference)...
