    Sounds like your '65 has a new life. You mentioned something about painting it in the future in your V8garage. How about black with a brushed aluminum color on the top (to match the motor), using the halo trim as a border? Then, trade the chrome Torque Thrust wheels for the same thing in brushed aluminum? :beer

    The wheel are actually Billet specialties street lites.

    I would really like to do that if my schedule allows. We shall see.

    Looks and sounds great. I'll be following in your footsteps next year sometime hopefully with my Riv. I think I'm going to try and find a L99 with a 6 speed auto though. Keep up the good work and try to get some vids of her out on the road terrorizing the asphalt.

    I just wanted to bump this thread back to the top. I bought a 99 Silveado with a broken frame. The plan is to swap the 5.3l and 4L60E, the wiring harness, steering column and dash cluster into my 65 Wagon.

    i also decided to the the LSX swap since ive had parts laying around from another project car.
