Am I the only one who can't find breakfast anymore???? Drive thru lines 20 deep because lobbies are closed because no one will work,.....feels like we're becoming 1980s Russia,..be standing in line for a bag of government provided potatoes soon Just want a F'n biscuit,.....SON OF A,..HAHA
Your problem is you live in too big a town... no waiting typically at my local fast food places.. maybe a car or two in front of me at the lunch rush. You could not pay me to move to a town with more than about 3000 people.. Too many idiots in the world these days, and it's a percentage of the population.. so reduce your "idiot exposure" risk by moving where folks ain't, JW
I agree, I live within minutes to McDonalds, Wendy’s, Sheetz etc and they are always slammed, talking like a 10-15 wait. They shut down one of the drive thru lanes because they could not handle that many cars not enough workers. There were 11 cars in line at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Friday morning which I can see from my Garage and it’s like that everyday.
And do yourself a favor and get off the fast food crap... go sit down in a mom and pop diner and have a decent breakfast.. Your not 18 anymore.. JW
I much prefer a sit down breakfast but for me that's 6 eggs 2 Meats grits and a pancake,...so a biscuit is a better choice ha,...I eat like a horse,...still manage to keep a 34in waist tho ha
Tried that, you got to make biscuits or bake them cook bacon, got to the store for cheese, make eggs and them do all the dishes etc, Wendy’s have a Biscuit sand which for a 1$ although yours is probably much better.
Love to, the are mostly all closed around here after the shut.......killed and out if business by whoever is telling him what to do.......you know he can't even answer questions because he will get in trouble??????
I don’t have biscuits each time which makes it easier. Bacon or sausage, eggs, and toast. And corned beef hash on Sundays.
Every morning there are 20 cars in line at each of the Tim Hortins in my area. And there is a Tim Hortins every 2 miles. All waiting to get that $2 cup of coffee and $3 breakfast sandwich. Glad I don't drink coffee or like breakfast sandwiches, seems like its an addiction in my area.
You eat half a dozen eggs every day? They must use a supercomputer to calculate your cholesterol... What.. do they have your picture up at the local Old Country Buffet, with the words "DO NOT ADMIT THIS MAN"... for fear you will eat them out of food? Ya, I used to eat like that... and had a 34 inch waist.. then I turned 50... and the 34 became 42 before I realized that I could not be on a "see food, eat food" diet anymore. And getting back to that 34 is a bitch, let me tell you.. Geeze, three eggs, hash browns and toast is plenty dude. And I can make and eat that, in as much time as it takes to drive over to the local joints.. and for much cheaper. Had scramble eggs and pancakes and coffee this morning.. was delicious. Skip the breakfast meat. .bad for you.. I save my "daily meat allotment" for later meals. Can't seem to get out of Micky'ds any more for less than 10 bucks per person. JW
The major reason so many businesses are short of help is they don't pay a living wage. Here in Florida the minimum wage is $10 per hour, gradually climbing to $15/hr over the next few years. $15 per hour is $600 per week. That is not enough to live on here.
IMO, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I know lots of people who never eat breakfast, and some who depend on fast food for it. Reminds me of Joel Gray's character in the movie, Remo Williams, the adventure begins. He had lots of funny lines in that movie. Here's my favorite. I make my own breakfast every morning, without fail. When I travel, I prefer a restaurant for breakfast. Then I'll indulge myself with eggs and pancakes.
Yeah even the $6 value meals end up costing $10 after you finish the order. Like, "Huh?" You just say OK and drive to the pay window.
Those jobs aren’t designed for a career, IMO. Great for part timers or teens looking for some spending money or saving for their first car.
Exactly. My team has been working from home since March of 2020 and we are determined to try as hard as we can not to go back other than an occasional mandatory meeting. So far I've saved hundreds upon hundreds of dollars not eating fast food. I haven't lost any weight because I like my cooking but still. The only thing I like at McD is the breakfast burrito or egg muffin with sausage. Mine just don't taste quite like theirs.
There is no fast food restaurant here where I live, nearest is about 25 minutes in the next town over. Usually eat at the local mom and pop place. Town here is only 2300 people, nice and quite
The $10 value meals are a product of the living wage theory.... Now the people making living wage cannot afford to buy what they are selling.. Costs more to sell, its going to cost more to buy, Not sure how people don't see that. What happened to these types of jobs being for kids and seniors just looking to make a little extra money. How has fast food become a career choice? As for breakfast, I personally don't do it. My system does not like eating first thing in the morning.
All the fast food restaurants have long lines around here. I love the Mom & Pop restaurants but they have an hour wait for a table.
