Phil Jackson was a fair coach. He was a throw the ball out type. He just was a spectator to Jordan like the rest of us. Red Aureback ( I know spelling is off) of the Celtics was far superior. Something like 9 out of 10 years a Champion. Always beating teams with superior talent.

Dude, plenty of lifelong Celtics fans would have trouble spelling " Aurebach" (sp?).

Totally different if you have trouble with
    "Laire Burd".o_O

My point was Bellichek could win six rings with Big Ben, or Aaron Rodgers, and maybe a couple of others.

But I really doubt Brady could have won 6 with Mike Tomlin, or Pete Carroll, or Andy Reid.

Kinda like Phil Jackson won with MJ and Scottie, and with Shaq and Kobe, but couldn't do anything with the Knicks.

Not whining, just trying to keep the hero worship in perspective.

Well men, personally I'm celebrating along with the other Patriot fans! I mean...hell...it's been like a little over 3 months since we have had a World Championship title and parade. You remember, maybe Oct 31 2018 when the Red Sox beat...hmmm...oh yeah, I remember now. It was LA wasn't it? Let's face it, the only time the "Dull Fins" play well is at home. Got to give Namath credit, though. That was a nifty rug he was wearing!

I'll agree with the above. While I'm at it, Have the national anthem played by a military band instead of some celebrity who is trying to make the anthem their own.; usually badly. The anthem code's preferred playing is by military band. BTW - the Star Spangled Banner should not be applauded, it is considered to be a hymn.

not sure if those QB’s have that intangible clutch gene? Sure they do it once in a while but Brady’s numbers when they need a comeback ate just beyond belief. Almost every close one they lost he gave the team the lead and the defense lost it.

Growing up in a military family I hear you on applauding National Anthem. My father used to get ripping made at that. At 6’4” 220 you didn’t want to see that.

I read an article at the start of the season where they tried to analyze which team has the best home-filed advantage in the NFL. After crunching all kind of numbers, they came up with:

    The Dolphins!

But they also said nah, it aint so much home filed advantage as much as it is they are soooooo horrible on the road, so they counted them out and moved along smartly.

Also, pretty certain that Big Ben has shown himself to be pretty durn clutch.

Yes he is. But he is number 6 on playoff winning drive list. He has missed a lot of Games from Injuries despite his rugged image. Other than the the year Brady blew out his knee I don’t think he has ever missed a game.

Miami always seams to be 90 and humid. Saps the energy of cold weather teams. Other than early season games this backfires in Miami when they travel. I remember them getting pelted with snowballs in winter games up here.

Not sure what the Adam Levine strip tease was about. Can maybe understand throwing the jacket to a groupie, but the rest of it? Gross. The guy has made recorded anti-American statements as well. Poor choice.

Glad Brady beat the Rams. After the refs screwed New Orleans out of the super bowl, I lost all interest. I was just hoping that Brady would have been able to run up the score on the Rams, something like four touch downs or more.
I was estatic that the ratings for the game were so poor. Anything that hurts the NFL is great by me.
Maybe next year? Wouldn't like to be the refs for the first New Orleans home game, I can see a little bit of fan anger might be directed at the.

Gulfgears, EXACTLY!! “I was estatic that the ratings for the game were so poor. Anything that hurts the NFL is great by me”. I couldn’t have said it better. I’m sure there’s a bunch of good guys playing and maybe it’s just a few bad apples but I’ve been over the NFL for quite some time now!!

A bunch of ungrateful punks that are clueless about real life! I’d love to see those punks loose their job and have to make a go of it like 98% of Americans do. Go work 3rd shift in a factory pulling 10 hour shifts for $hit pay. Carry bundles of roofing shingles up a 2 story ladder in August in the South. That might wake ‘em up. Then again it probably wouldn’t.

    Ok, I’m done now. Mark

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

After the blatant lack of a call was on the news, my wife said the NFL is getting like "Wrestling Entertainment" = Fixed. :D;)

Never thought I'd be letting thoughts creep into my mind comparing the NFL to the 1970's wrestling... but wow I just can't wrap my mind around Goff dropping back 10 and holding the ball for a sack when all season he was very good at tossing to the sideline to avoid a loss. Then there were the throws to the receiver's ankles, then there were the we need 3 yards for a first, lets throw the ball 30 yards into double coverage.

I was in Vegas watching the game in one of the hotel ballrooms. Must have been around 1000 in the room with me. By the 4th quarter there were maybe 200 remaining. Most had walked out. I guess for next year, if someone else is invited to the Patriots Invitational, maybe it can be the Texans. God knows they are due...
