This is beating a dead horse. Those who believe what they do will not change their opinion regardless of any eveidence presented. A couple of years ago a Westwood (MA) middle schooler did a science fair project that claimed to prove just the opposite. The boy had his math reviewed by a MIT math department professor who validated his numbers. Of course Brady knew the football was underinflated. Would a great musician not know when his/her instrument was out of tune? The real question is: was Tom Brady under any obligation to disclose the underinflation? I say no, because the underinflation gave either team the same advantage/disadvantage. FWIW, during Brady's (IMO unjustified) suspension, the Pats won three of the four games that they played.
I don't like the Patriots mostly because of their coach, but I think the underinflated football charge was bogus. Sure maybe the ball was a little underinflated but to what advantage the claim is he could throw it a little farther? Maybe he could but how do we know Brady cared one way or the other, he might not have known it was done intentionally if it was and it sure doesn't seem to bother him to play with a properly inflated ball. Go Rams!
The National Felony League!! whoever gets the most penalties will lose its all phoney follow the money, whatever brings in the most money determines the outcome!
Was Dallas or Pittsburgh ever in three straight super bowls? Or San Francisco? Buffalo appeared in four straight.
I tested the theory of "the underinflated ball going further" right after all the hoopla. I could not find my football, so I grabbed one of our soccer balls. First I properly inflated it. Then, since it was a soccer ball, I gave it a good kick. It went pretty far. Once I caught my breath after retrieving it (I did want to be in the same form as the first kick). I deflated the ball. I gave the ball a good kick. It didn't travel nearly as far. I then had a cold beer while mulling over the results. Then I retrieved the ball.
The most damning thing to me is that the very day deflategate broke, Tom Brady just happened to need a new cell phone and smashed his old into pieces. He says it was just a crazy coincidence; ANY unbiased observer would call B.S.
Remember we all root or is it route? We all root for laundry. Guys on our team may play for yours tomorrow. If Brady went to your team next year would you still hate him?
Yes, because if he showed up without Bellicheat he would probably suck.
As much as I do not like the Patriots or Tom Brady, I have to give them respect. He is arguably the greatest quarterback in history, and Bill is probably the best coach ever. A guy can hate on them all he wants, but it's pretty tough to argue their level of success over the last decade. I'm a Lions fan, and I wish my team had 1/10 of the fortune they've had. Go Rams!
Yes, because if he showed up without Bellicheat he would probably suck.
Yes, fill it up please!
I think brady's actions show that he knew he was breaking the rules. That does not mean he gained any significant advantag. Of course I would root for Brady if he got traded to Miami. I aint stupid. But... He could turn the Skins into champs. Or the vikings. Or some other strong team with a so-so quarterback. But bring him to Miami and he goes 8-8, maybe 9-7. Brady needs a good O-line to be any good, and he would be getting crushed down here in Miami. Not hating, just think Bellicheck is sooooo good that he maximizes Brady's talent. And with a run-of-the-mill coach, I'm not sure he would be all that. But hey, trading Brady to Miami might be his best shot at winning down here...
I used to say that Bill Bellicheck with Mark Sanchez = Rex Ryan. Okay, that isn't true, but there is some truth to it -- you can't be a great coach without a great quarterback. But if Big Ben was playing for Bill Bellicheck, i suspect Big Ben would be the GOAT, and Brady would be slotted in about where Big Ben is now, maybe lower.
