Some people.....the "Ignore" function

This is the opening statement in the POTUS Rally thread that got closed.

This is NOT a political thread nor do I want it to become one. It is just an actual fact.

This coming Wednesday the President, along with our Governor is coming to our little town of just over 4,000 for a rally. Which is to be held just under 4 miles from where we live.

Now, under this circumstance I don't care who the President is, this is something I don't want to miss.
It will be an interesting Wednesday to say the least!

The OP was criticized because they posted something about the President and "how could this not be political". The last sentence of the original post says" "I don't care who the President is, this is something I don't want to miss". A member starting going off on Trump and blah, blah, blah, not bothering to see that the original OP just thought it was cool that the POTUS was going to be there.

I saw Obama on Air Force 1 leave the Buffalo airport and I though it was cool even though I did not care for Obama's political policies. I actually think he would be a cool guy to meet away from politics but you did not see me out there protesting his presence. I tolerated 8 years of his policies and hoped for a chance to vote for someone that at least shared some of my own political views. Hillary was not that person.

There was no need to start spouting off all of the negative political crap in that post but some people must feel that it is their duty to let everyone know how bad they "think" this POTUS is and how bad this country is every time they get a chance. Calling names such as deplorables, telling you that your opinion (even on rental cars) is wrong, and generally spitting on you.

Calling people names (deplorables), telling them to grow a pair, thinking you know what their life is about and what type of relationship they have with their wife is just pathetic and actually sad.

After thinking about it I will not block anyone, I will use their hate filled posts as reassurance why I have to go out and vote and I hope others do the same.

I did not use any specific names out of courtesy, not fear.

 

Thank you, you get it. If Hillary was going to have a rally in my back yard I would try and make an attempt to see it. It would be a great thing to experience, whether you agree with her beliefs or not... Which I don't. But jeez, it's a part of history in the making, good or bad. I truly meant no disrespect of anyone's political beliefs.

Oh please Mike, give it up. The OP can make any statement he wants but that does not hide the fact he posted a thread that was political based and geared. It was an obvious plug for his support of Trump. I think you like many, like to hear yourselves talk just to feel big and important. Like I said earlier, had I made a comment I was going to see Hillary or Obama at a "rally" it would have caused an uproar and your the screams to shut it down would have been heard around the world. I bet the OP would not have been posting this if Hillary was president and running around wasting taxpayers money because he would have had no intention of going. Keep your blah blah blahing up, it is amusing. I can always count on you to be one of the ones doing the same thing you accuse me of doing

Notice even in this thread he is the first one again to say his political views from a "single view point"...
Most people I know try to take an unbiased view of the information in front of them.
I am glad my parents did not shelter me nor have we sheltered our 2 boys. They grew up knowing if you are going to talk about something do your homework and study both side of the discussion before you open your lips when possible.
Keith not a slam on you but please stop trying to control any post you don't like.
I come to this site to relax, learn, assist and most of all hang with friends.
Those that I call my friends from all parties discuss their views with me and I have yet to cancel my friendship with any of them.
So please have a drink and relax.

 

Politics or different view just separate us. And when you put a magnifying glass on top of the difference (the medias job) it just gets worse. My advice is just turn the damm tv or talk radio off and enjoy our country. Dont forget we are all Americans. When shi# hits the fan, remember how we have united for our country,land, family.

We dont need a civil war. Especially over nothing.
