Some people.....the "Ignore" function

Most people on here can manage to keep things civil, and not turn every post or thread that they don't agree with into a political, religious, or whatever they find offensive fight of words. Some people can't. I'd highly recommend using the "Ignore" feature on those people. It's easy to do, and you never even have to see their posts again. It's not like real life where you have to mentally block them out, the computer and this site does it for you. Eventually, if enough people ignore the person, there's no one left for them to talk to, and nobody responds back, because no one can read their posts......I imagine it's probably like their real lives. Nobody around for them to talk to...... Just a suggestion that I took from Shawn, and can't be happier I did. Makes the forum a much more enjoyable place for me, and I bet it will for you as well.

 

Make note to self figure out ignore feature on Mr Lucas and his Ford threads only...just kidding with ya buddy..

The ignore feature is wonderful, I come here for the common enjoyment of our Buicks and get away from the rest.

 

Maybe it's a good thing that you don't go we might end up getting in trouble with who knows what...

Click on the member's avatar or name on the left side, when their info pops up, you can click "Ignore". Bingo, bango, done. Super nice feature of this forum....hey, wait....Don't leave me Tom! I need your help sometimes

The issue isn't with being thick skinned or anything like that. The issue is that there's some people on here who purposely turn things political (mentioning freedom of speech and the next election having anything to do with that, for example) every chance they get at the slightest hint and get harmless, well meaning threads shut down because somebody uses a word or term they don't like. I only have one person on my Ignore list, probably going to be 2 or 3.....This thread isn't political at all, but someone is probably going to take this post and attempt to make it so, and get our little fun back and forth we have going right now shut down.....now about that Seville............
