I wondered why I wasn't being deluged in the usual 'Renew it now, and SAVE!!!' mailers. Sad, I really enjoyed Muscle Car Review, more than Hot Rod, more than Car Craft. I wonder what will happen to all the old school staff of years (Jeff Smith, Marlon Davis); They've been around quite a while.

They’re all retirement age by now. Or past.

None of this really surprises me much. I have been subscribing to five car publications for many years, three of them are on this list but I haven't renewed any of them, not even the two that are not on the list and it has nothing to do with the digital world we live in now because I don't spend a lot of time on the computer. My reasons are simple, these publications are no longer geared toward the average hot rodder anymore, on an average budget. Open any one of these magazines within the past few years and you'll see the pages are full of builds and features that very few of us average hot rodders can even come close to affording. More often than not when I get my magazines in the mail I end up scanning through them for something that will interest me and end up with it in my hands for less than 5 minutes and it's straight to the trash bin. Over time, I've simply lost interest.

I wonder if I'll get a refund for my Car Craft subscription. It's good until May of 23.

It sounds like they’re going to offer you a subscription to Motor Trend digital. I just renewed some of those magazines for two years recently.

Another thing kids of today will not get to experience as they grow up. I remember the excitement of getting a new magazine in the mail each month. I really liked Muscle Car Review. I still miss SS & DI too, that was a great magazine. I wonder what happens to the Car Craft Street Machine events?

That was the best, wasn't it Jim? You had a rough idea that it was getting close to new magazine day, then one day after school you'd come home and they'd be in the mailbox. Without the internet, all the information in the magazine was new! Like a little birthday present each month.

I've read a bunch of tone-deaf comments over the Internet, but yours takes the cake. Are you living in a bunker? Or in prison? :p

I think in January we'll learn how TEN handles the paperless titles. Will they all migrate online? Will some be discontinued? Grab your popcorn and, possibly, your faith.

But no one should be surprised--this has been a long time coming. Also, please note the Friday and end-of-tax-year announcement. This is business.

Those kids are not interested in how you grew up. They have the Internet - as do you - to enjoy their hobby.

Don't live in a bunker but you can see the big picture or can you not look that far?

But thanks for playing since you are above everything and all. Such a perfect being in your know it all world.

See you ya around. Smh .

I haven't picked up a paper book or mag for a long time, do it all with electronics. I can be anywhere at anytime and read what I want and not have to worry about having a particular item I want to read with me

The world is different than from when you and I grew up, in case you haven't noticed. And guns have nothing to do with the topic....say, do you still have yours? Then what's the problem?

Print media has been declining for years. It was only a matter of time for one of the biggest automotive publishers to do the same. It's as simple as that--no conspiracy, no chicken little fear-mongering, no nuthin.

The penitentiary blocks all that magazine stuff, but the warden is a car guy so he lets us have this in our cells on closed caption PTV. No bunker; nice 2x2 foot frosted glass window.

So, are you expecting the market for your book to decline?

I agree with Lucas, {1972 Mach I } every month I would look forward to seeing my 3 mags. show up in the mailbox. I remembered getting Hot Rod,Car Craft, and Popular Hot Rodding magazines from age 13 until my late twenties, thus helping shape my future and love of American performance vehicles which made me a gearhead, car collector, drag racing, swap meeting car junkie ever since :D. Man, I don't know what kind of person I'd be today or what kind of hobbies I'd have if I hadn't read [and kept] all those car mags? P.S. most likely I wouldn't be on the Buick V-8 page right now! Larry :)

Automobile? I thought I just got an issue in the mail? No notice it was discontinued, I read that they moved the offices.

Autoweek, I know they stopped the printed issue. I received their last printed issue and it stated as such. Said I would be notified about a refund. Never was. Called the 800 number and was told I would get a extension on my Car & Driver or Motor Trend. Whis one? The lady didn't know. I said I would call back in a few weeks if I don't hear anything. She said don't bother, this number was shutting down the following week. Still haven't heard anything about a "refund".

So I wonder how all the advertisements will be posted? Will all the sponsors pay to put it on they're webpage? Sounds like companies will loose some money too.

It's a completely different market, but it's available for download for those who want it.
