I know it's the way the world is going, but sad nonetheless. 19 automotive magazines just got the ax as printed publications. I for one prefer to have a paper magazine to hold onto, read at my own pace without my battery going dead or squinting at a tiny phone screen, and have something to revisit without having to google or search function for the article I'm looking for and weeding through 753 other links to find what I need. I LOVED Car Craft and Automobile. RIP.

I thought Muscle Car Review was doing ok.( A few on the list I thought were already long gone.) I too prefer a real paper magazine and subscribe to several, but two are on the list. MCR I’ll really miss; Car Craft was a Like/hate ‘ok, for $9 a year? Sure, why not?’ pick.

PS. The story is full of big gibberish words that try to make digital sound awesome (it isn’t) and these staff reductions sound like growth. ‘Merry F•<[in’ Christmas! You’re Fired!’

I’m like you Lucas, I like having something in my hand to read.
It’s nice especially when I’m sitting on the throne....

I got a subscription to Diesel Power when they first started publishing. Had it ever since.
They tell you that you can access everything quicker on line, read it online before the mag is printed...but...that’s just not me!

So now when I drop my magazine into the toilet while reading, I have to replace my iPad?

Best thing about magazine/newspapers, when you're done with them, you can use them for paint masking... try that with your iPad.

“While TEN Publishing will no longer print the following magazines,” he wrote, “[MotorTrend Group] will continue to offer our audiences and advertisers digital coverage for these discontinued print titles online,” adding that subscribers to the shuttered magazines will be offered digital subscriptions to MotorTrend, Hot Rod or Four Wheeler as well as MotorTrend‘s video streaming service."

That makes it sound like the titles won't even be digital only, they're going to be dropped entirely. If they are digital only, I would assume that I would still need to subscribe. So why am I being offered a digital subscription to Motor Trend?:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Sucks! I still have magazine subscriptions to Automobile, CarCraft, SuperChevy & HotRod. What really pisses me off is that I recently received offers, by mail, to renew at "extra savings". Glad I did not.

I bet most of the suits involved in this decision don't even own a car, or if they do, it's a Prius. Jackasses.

I don't read internet magazines, so for my purposes, these are gone.

I just had my car featured in Muscle Car Review in the November issue, but it was also featured in their on-line version which came out 2 months earlier. It was almost the same as the article, word for word, but did have about 30 more pics of the car shown at the end of the on-line article that did not make it to print.

I saw they had been offering discounts for on-line vs paper subscriptions, but I will definitely miss the paper magazines.

I never renewed my Car Craft Subscription years ago . I got tired of them putting LS motors in everything. Plus every article they had was how to get 400 HP for $8000 .

Muscle Car Review was saved once before from the shreader . It was a Good Mag. The other mags ?? Goodbye !!

Going to miss MCR. Glad the article on my car made it in before it goes completely digital. It’s nice to have a paper copy, or five. :D
