Boy, some of you guys are harsh! :spank:

I'd take that car in a heartbeat and take it to every show I could get to. It's in perfect condition, 12!!! miles, and it's so ugly it's cool. I guess I have eclectic taste in cars, I like more than just Buicks. If it has a motor and tires I'm interested.

Believe it or not, there are people that still collect Edsels.

Edsels have been major collectibles for quite a long time now.

I would greatly prefer an edsel to that thing.
At least an edsel was a basic ford with some poor taste remodeling going on.

That car is awesome. Sorry- I hate, absolutely hate, '50s and '60s AMCs but Pacers, Hornets, and Gremlins are really cool.

Edsel's biggest problem was not; what. But, when. Introduced in a recession. Right, as; every brand was facing lower sales. The Edsel's MEL engine lived on in Lincolns until 1968.

I saw a 57 Ranchero for sale with an Edsel front clip on it.

Very cool. All it needed was a 428 and it would have been perfect.
428 is a FE engine, so it should be right at home in that Edsel Ranchero!

Seems to be an easy bolt-on conversion:

What an absolute perfect example of the worst era in american automotive history. It's so wrong it's cool. It would seem fitting if that thing never rolled a tire again, almost as if the car had a Herbie personality of its own and knew it should never have been on the road in the first place. And refused to leave the garage for it's new owner. Hmmmmm........ any chance this car is a suspect in offing the original owner ??...........
