Does anybody here really know sh*t from shinola? Well, here it is........ever look closely at bird crap? Well, the sh*t is the little turd in the middle and the shinola is the grose white stuff surrounding it.........just in case anybody wanted to know  And yes, who really could NOT care less? :Brow:
I know ima lazy idjit And I like to think im well read and well spoken but not when dat lazy bug hits me on the keyboard..ima 2 finger typer..LOL...fish
Local legend  I know the difference. Have for years, since when I first shined my Grandpa's shoes http://www.pottymouth.org/humor/shinola.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shinola When I was done, he said I officially knew the difference, since I already knew how to sh*t all on my own
Hmmm.... I didn't know the difference between sh1t and shinola. Now I do. I use prolly and/or probably depending on my mood, or what we're talking about. I don't mind when people spell words worng, or use bad grammer. I'm sure I do it all the time. What I don't care for is huge text, ALL CAPS, or long winding posts with no spaces, caps, or paragraphs. I get halfway through those and quit reading. Regarding "made up" words.... I like them. p I use "gription" at work alot. I even use it in the user manuals of some of our equipment. p
Grammer Way to go Yardley. I tottally agree. Hey 3 Shields, what if the payroll department where you work got lazy and put the decimal point after the first number ? Not so funny then, uh .
I just did a quick search for "prolly," and I came up with 500 responses/instances. I don't know if that is the limit here, or just a conveniently round number. I did a search for "supposably," and came up with four responses. Of course this thread is one of them (and this post just kicked it up to five).
Forte is something yer good at..as opposed to weak points..just nitpicking for fun..this is all insane Im insane weez all insane...I gotta go to work..fish :spank:
Did your search of 'prolly' turn it up as a correct word, or simply incorrect useages on chatboards? I don't see it in any of my dictionaries. As for "fortes and weak areas", that is correct. However, it might have been clearer had I written, "we all have our strong points; we all have our weak points". Could have said "fortes and foibles", but I'm not sure I'd classify bad grammar as a character weakness (the definition of foible).
