Ok, here it is. The Insurance adjusters pics of what that SOB!#$@$@ did to my 65. arrrrgggg.. makes a good before pic tho. Cause I don't have any from when I first got it but, it was in pretty good shape even then. And no, I don't normally keep it so dirty but, I was afraid to wash off the knuckle heads tire marks.

Nick, all skylarks and GS`s had the same tailights, the Specials had the different tailight,as for the roof chrome that was a Skylark Vinyl top roof chrome, the GS`s had a full vinyl top, only chrome moldings on the GS`s were in the rear by the back window.

    Thanks

Thanks George, This is now the good side. LOL. Think I should go 15's when I get wheels? Not too big on vinyl tops. I kind of like the red.

    i like the top:TU:

imo the wheels are personal preference...do you want it to look agressive? right now it's got a pretty good sleeper look going on (not a bad thing, of course).

    NickDFX,

How is the damage going to be repaired? You simply can't buy a quarter panel for that car.

I had a lot less damage to my '66, and had difficulty finding a shop that would straighten a section that large.

Or, have you been able to locate a parts car with a decent quarter?

    George,
I see you now have a Tach in the 65. Do you know where I can get one? I have a tach that only goes to 1000 rpm but I still need the chrome bezel that holds the tach.

    YellowLark/Harry,

Yep, finding a Q-Panel is a pain but, I finally found a pretty good shop that actually found one and the chrome molding the same day for the very low price of one arm and only half a leg. I am still waiting for the Claims guy to pay $ though I aint waiting much longer. I may just pay myself and hope they cover it. She cleaned up real nice before. I had no plans to paint it until I had done everything else first. Nothing like the feeling of dropping a wrench on a brand new paint job..lol

Yup, '56 Special. Rebuilt original 322 (stock rebuild with the exception of a reground cam-274 int.-278 ex), Dynaslush trans(soon to be swapped for a 3spd stick), nosed, side trim shaved, cut coils (about 2" drop) 2" dual exhaust w/glasspacks (this was a major pain in the rear, as on original single exhaust cars the drivers side manifold exists towards the front of the car). Nothing major, just a daily driven mild custom.
As soon as I can locate a third Stromberg 97, I'll be swapping in a three deuce setup.
