Phil, Your pic looks a bit squashed up there. Kind of like the beginning and end of a western movie. Send me the pic and I'll resize it nicely for you.
I'll be painting it in the spring. A nice high gloss white should set it off nicely. ________ WANDELLAX CAM
Mygrain (I hope that's not from the car hobby) Do you know if a 455 will drop into that Skylark body? And if so, is it a direct swap or do new motor mounts have to be welded up?
You'll have to get new motor mounts from TA or find a set from a 1967 GS400. Its supposed to be a fairly simple swap. You need a new fan shroud too. Im eventually going to drop in a 1970 455 that Ive got laying around, but Ive got to freshen it up first. Im also going to use an electric fan instead of fooling around with fan shrouds. ________ AVANDIA LAWYER
My '67 GS400 convertible Here is my GS. It's not #s matching, but was an original 3sp car, 1 of 9 '67 GS convrts. It also has the factory power disc brakes, odd combo with 3sp? It now has a Saginaw 4sp and will some day have a Tremec, like George's. I've painted it, added tach and gauges, and repaired the top mechanism. I also repainted the wheels argent silver, but have since found out they should be black. Anybody know what type of black paint should be used on the wheels, I was thinking semiflat?
Pete, nice car man i like that. i have a question for ya. if you could, would you take me some pix of the car with the top down, no boot ? i need to get a good look at the tops of the fenders and package tray area of a cnvrt' top car for a project:Brow: i am doing. if you could my email is buickdav@yahoo.com. i would REALLY appreciate it a bunch. NICE CAR :TU: :TU: later.................................
Newest Member to the Family Saw this one on the highway headed to the bone yard. Flagged down the guy and bought it on the side of the road. If you notice, its a V6. Might have to put a real V6 in it and go out looking for Doug Hecker:laugh:  . Wouldn't RL die if this thing pulled up to the starting line at BG.
