As you all know my truck was stolen from in front of my house a week and a half ago. Well I finally got it back from the impound yard last Thursday. The jerks that took it went for a hell of a ride. I hope they walked away injured.   :af: :af: :blast: :blast: :blast: :blast: :blast: :blast: :blast: The crease on the front is the point of impact. They hit the corner of a brick building
Eric, That really does blow, but look on the bright side....you have your truck. It may not be driveable but it sure can be. Whoever did that really hit the hood multiple times. Did the air bags go off?
Only hit once Rob and the airbags did not go off. The body shop mgr at the dealership said that they have to be a direct hit on both frame rails to set them off.
It's a shame to see some ones vehical get ripped off. Did they catch the idiot ('s)? Now you get to fight with the insurance comp. They used to hang horse thieves
Torsion bar pork chop. Drivers side Kind of hard to tell, but this is pushed back at about a 10* angle when it should be straight.
Drivers side torsion bar has a downward bow to it. I'm sure this and the pork chop will fix itself when the frame is fixed.
It looks like it is a total. I hope you get the fair and correct value for it! Honestly, if someone stole my truck, I'd hope they'd do it even worse! I'd rather just start all over. Too many people I've talked to have had cars not get totalled, fought with body shops for crappy work, the car was never "right" after that, then the resale dropped because of the title noting that it had been rebuilt. Unless it's a classic - total it. They're always making more new cars.
This is the back tire and rim. The rim is broken and the tire sidewall is shredded. The front is the same way
