John, That's what I figured. Dave Hanlon told me that car was painted black, that's why I asked...did you ever send out those dog dish hub caps?
Chris, Yup! I just scored a set from a board member off eBay a couple weeks ago. I love that look!
Danger, Will Robinson! Brain fart. Brain fart. Mike Foster is the illustrious Governor of our great state of Louisiana; don't think he's into GSs! (Thanks, Brad... and sorry, Gary.)
I tried this on another thread with no luck. Anyone have more pictures of this car, and any information on it? I'd be curious to know more about it, you don't see many misty burgandy cars and I noticed this one had the volcano caps. :bglasses:
Chris I didn't get that guy with the maroon colored GS's name but he was racing Saturday and running 13.90s. The car appeared to be original right down to the paint as it was showing some age and had rough edges here and there.
The guy that owns the burgundy car is from Texas, and it was DRIVEN 1200 miles each way to BG. And raced all week for that matter. The car ran a best of 13.82 completely stock appearing with D.O.T.'s. Nice guy too.
Cool! I have not seen him post here on the board in a while, but I know that he was planning on attending the Cen-Tex buick get-together here this fall so hopefully I will get to see the car in person. Can't wait. :Brow:
That's my car. Original color, 3rd repaint. Bought it from the original owner in 1983. Had the Deluxe Wheel Covers on it when I bought it and they have always stayed on. I recently sent my $50 to Wayne Roberts but no paperwork yet. All stock except for TA 212 cam.
That is the model of the new block. That piece is or will shortly be destroyed making the actual patterns for the casting. Jim Burek P.A.E. ENTERPRISES
