I was looking at some completed auctions and came across this ....needless to say, I had to pick myself up off the floor!! Are you KIDDING me?!?

I'll tell you, those Corvette guys have some CRAZY loot...:jd: . The funny thing is, I have one of these kicking around here somewhere...

    Maybe I'll dig it out....:Brow:

  4. Those NCRS guys get pretty crazy (ie- sniff glue). There's a company called Paragon that sells Vette resto parts. I bought their catalog for $5 two years ago and get it faithfully twice a year, anyway they sell correct 1 year only nuts and bolts with correct grade markings, by thread size, head size, even number stampings in the bolt head, really crazy stuff. Some crosses over to guys doing GM concours resto's on GS's and GTO's etc.

    But $500 is RIDONKULOUS!!!

I would feel so guilty taking that kinda money for something like that I probably couldn't sleep.

I wonder if the guy who bought that spends that kinda dough on his wife?

    NJBuickRacer I'd rather be racing...

I am at 90% on my '63 split window resto and can definitely say that the NCRS guys are nuts. I haven't touched the car in months because it's not fun to work on anymore since you have to worry about the correct stampings on every lockwasher and duplicate factory mistakes. I'm glad my GS isn't a numbers matching car, at least I won't feel guilty about making "upgrades":Brow:
