I had my Riv dash done by Just Dashes and it has held up well (10+ years) but it was not the same shape as the original. This year I bought one for my '70 that had been done bt them, again nice look but I think the reason it was on ebay is that the BUICK emblem would not fit in the rectangle anymore- something about better quality material thats thicker than original? I should get some pics to show what i mean. Same deal with the 65 console- the center strip should be well defined, and it was rounded. The emblem won't sit flush in its spot. I like original stuff.
please share your photos, I have a nice dash which just needs recovering and is wrong colour, but if they grind the foam off and repair then the emblems won't fit, that would suck,
I "think" it was PHR a few months back they had an article from them on recovering a '71 Buick dash pad. Showed the steps in the process to restore one . Interesting article. DL
The dash pad is going in a 70 Stage 1 Conv. I have been looking for a perfect one for 10 yrs. for a $1000 I would rather put and OEM part on the car than resto when ever I can. Wayne Emmott 70 STG 1 Conv 12:80s 70 STG 1 HT 78 Skyhawk 8:40s P.S. I came forword. Everybody be nice ray:
Eight weeks? Yeah thats about what they told a buddy of mine when he called about a 68 Olds dash. He sent it to them in April and got it back in January. Thats been a couple of years ago so maybe they got there act straightened out?
