Well not quite yet. Come Nov there will be. We have 4 legit candidates running and one that makes you wonder. Meet Fred Martin!

Fred's platform is he will legalize weed in Suwanee County or at least not enforce the laws on the books concerning weed.I dont think Fred knows the laws... Fred has a wooden leg and has been convicted of assault on a police officer because he took his leg off and beat the cop with it. I ran into Fred at a community event where he was campaigning. Fred really needs to take a shower and get some clean cloths on. Fred smelled really bad.
Fred ran for office in 2012 as well and ended up with a solid 3000+ votes out of the 15000 + / - registered voters in this county. Over all not bad. Weighing all the factors I think I will not be voting for Fred.

This guy is looking for a job. Apparently his superiors disagreed with his style, so he quit and is seeking employment elsewhere.

I saw that video earlier and I believe it has stirred a pretty large pot. There seems to be some conflict in what "elected" means vs. appointed. We may see more local sheriffs departments following this lead. They have the authority to act within the law for their prospective jurisdiction, and somehow it has gotten out of hand at the state and federal level as far as who is in charge. The story "The Siege" touches on these subjects and pushes it a few steps further. I commend any local officials who stand their ground and maintain local authority. All politics are local politics and need to stay that way to run an effective republic. On the other hand,if you just don't care and want to smoke weed all day,Fred may be a good guy.

Criminals are getting more brazen and dangerous. They think nothing of human (or any for that matter) life. The only thing that matters to them is getting what they want and will go to any lengths to get it. The law needs to be tougher on them. With all the attention given to any time a law enforcement officer has to resort to using his weapon rather then getting justice for victims, it makes the criminal's rights seem more important.

A lot of media interference as far as getting the whole story...for instance "why did Fred pull off his leg in the first place?' I think if I was a juror I would want to know.

So,did Fred pull off his leg and beat the cop,or did the cop have a spare leg around and beat Fred? The two witnesses that just happened to be there at 4am said that there were at least three legs that were used for weapons. Some of these legs were Hispanic and some were African American ,but the only white leg was still attached to an American Indian driving an Indian with historical plates. The 420friend plate was later traced back to a Muslim extremist that just happened to have Fred's wife's credit card on his person when they ticketed him for misuse of a historical plate. The bike was on loan to the Indian and they now have to bring in Interpol to figure out how to collect from the Muslim who only resides here on a visa. We still don't know where Fred's wife is,but at least we can see why he is a little ticked off this week. This is why we keep things LOCAL.

If y'all don't elect Fred for Sheriff,
can we have Fred for Alabama's governor?
Fred couldn't be worse than the clown we have now..

It is my understanding from talking to the sheriff currently in office (Retiring this yr after many reelections) That Fred was being arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct when he hit the deputy with his leg.

That's freakin' hilarious! I heard Fred's wife went into the witless protection program.

I cannot dispute your contention that criminals are "getting more brazen and dangerous," but the US crime rate has dropped significantly in the last 55 years (1960 was as far back as I went).
