    buickman70 I pirated this pic!!!

You need to fly in and drive it home. In ND you can buy a temp license for something like $10 that is good for 30 days. That is what I did with my IH. I can help you get thru Illinois if you break down. There are enough members from all the states you will pass through to cover you. Call it a bonding experience for you and your new ride:bglasses:

Greg Schmelzer What are you looking at?!

    How about this?

How about this for an option, George?

Eric and I might be up for a road trip. We drive up to Bismark with the dually and the trailer, bring the 'vert to Omaha and ship it from here. There is no way that Omaha is too far out of the way. On I-80 and damn near dead center of the country.

Now for the bad news, we would need to get reimbursed for the gas. Always a downside, ain't there? Plus, on the good side, growing up in the hills, Eric and I are fluent in west bubba f#$%#!

PM or post. Just throwing out an option.

    I NEED a road trip.:TU:

DAS charged me $1200 to sahip my convertible in an enclosed trailor from CA to MO....

$2k seems a little steep to me.

Plus, they were 2 weeks late with the car.

Guys i thank you for the ideas, now i have to see how i`m gonna be able to change this guys mind on the initial price we agreed on,he claims his friends are telling him he is selling it too cheap,i will keep you guys informed,DAS is asking $2,000 in an open trailor not enclosed.

    Thanks

open trailor rates are cheaper than enclosed.....I'd hate to see the quote for enclosed shipping with this car...

Whatever happened to the art of honoring a deal.

Since when does the price change after the deal because a third party says so.

I'd be wary of this seller based on the limited excerpts you've provided.

I've spent alot of time on business in the mid west north and south and have always found them folk to be as honorable and truthful as could be, even to my skeptical NY'er mentality.

This guy doesn't seem to fit the mold. Be careful! :)

Where did you see his for sale ad.

    Turnabout is fair play.

I wouldn't mind breaking his balls; and, let him, his family and friends see what happens to a bunch of low lifes when they pull a maneuver like that.

It wasnt an ad,he emailed me when he saw my `67 on ebay and asked me if i was interested in a `67 GS Conv`t.

    Thanks

  15. :af: George, sorry to hear this guy is jerking you around, that really sucks. Is this car red? I talked to a guy today who is pretty sure he knows this car and seller. He had a chance to buy it 2-3 years ago for about $1800, but passed, to his regret. He remembers it being in pretty decent shape too.

If something works out that you end up driving, we have help here in Fargo too, 3hrs east of Bismarck.

the car is in good shape paint is nice, needs some interior work and underside has some surface rust, needs grille, trunk molding and eye brow moldings, has a few oil leaks, needs engine compartment detailing as its nasty,we had talked for a price of $8,000 and now he wants $10,000:af:

Forgot to mention the car is solid as a rock, not rot anywhere, the guy has the car sitting in the garage for so many years, doesnt drive it,he isnt even a car guy he`s a doctor of some sort,so i dont know what his problem is besides wanting to squeeze more money,i`m gonna baby this car and restore her to her glory day enjoy her rather then let her sit in the garage and rot.

This is what he said in his last email when i told him i`ll pay what we said($8,000) and not $10,000.

" I will be out the rest of the day, give me some time to think about itI may have to try and sell it on my own, the price on these cars goes up every year so I may just hold it until the market bears a good price or I get tired of stumbling around it in my garage."

    Thanks

File a complaint with the state medical board on ethics to break his balls and make him accountable.

Gather all the emails and facts and put together in a complaint based on ethical behavior to the ND licensing department for medical doctors.

Give them the old "I'm not sure if this is the right course of action; but, I think it was unethical behavior and conduct detrimental to the profession based on the enclosed correspondence" routine and cc good ole doc and see what happens.

Don't let the dirtbag get away with breaking his word.

A man's bound is his word; he aint much of a doc based on what you've posted.

Why am I so pissed off? :Dou:
